I'd check the primary and secondary door switches for proper operation. Could be a failed switch, or adjustment issue on the switch assembly or door latching mechanism.

You also might have a failed thermal protector on the magnetron.

My Whirlpool/Roper microwave/hood combo has the same problem. I replaced the bulb twice, checked the bulb and it works, but not in the microwave. I wrote to Whirlpool asking about the problem. Haven't heard from them yet.

It could be bad door switch or loose door switch mount . There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

2your magnetron t-stat poped
3 bad voltage from outlet
test the outlet with a lamp, if that works it can only be the other two
open the door, take the screww off the control panel
and the vent cover, two screws on top
behind the control and vent you will see the mag t-stat, it should read continuity, and the inline fuse should be right above it a small glass tube fuse like a car

Yeah., the magnatron most likely went bad.
You would probably be investing about half the ammount a new microwave would cost to repair the one you have.

does it not light up at all? A microwave has a fuse on it. Probably accessible from the back panel. if not you would need to disassemble it. Most likely cause of this is slamming the door broke one of the safety switches the door has so the microwave knows when the door is open. And it shorted against something when it broke. It might have simply blew the fuse but then again you might have fried it.

The door latch must have broken in side which had stucked the door does not allow to open. Please arrange to call service engineer from the maufacturer's service center to fix the problem as proper alignment of the latches is must for safety measures.
