Solar system, 2 SW5548 inverters wired for 220v. Have worked fine for 10 years til last week. Now only one will regulate to my 118v line. The other goes to 84-90 volts and just sits there. Any ideas?

I assume both inverters connect to the same battery bank so any problem with batteries would effect both inverters the same way. You say one inverter "regulates" to the AC input and the other "goes to 84-90 volts and just sits there" I'm not sure what you're describing but If you mean the defective inverter only puts out 84 to 90 volts, I would suspect a defective MOSFET (power transistor) Use an oscilloscope to look at the output waveform and see if there are missing steps to the staircase waveform.

How are the batteries for that inverter? Have you got a dead battery in the loop?

Can you connect FBI2000W inverter to solar panels?

Yes, it is possible to connect an FBI2000W inverter to solar panels. In fact, inverters are an important component of solar power systems, as they convert the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity that can be used to power homes and businesses.
To connect the FBI2000W inverter to solar panels, you will need to:
  1. Install the solar panels on your roof or other suitable location and connect them in a series or parallel configuration to achieve the desired voltage and current output.
  2. Install a charge controller between the solar panels and the inverter to regulate the flow of electricity and prevent overcharging of the battery bank.
  3. Connect the output of the charge controller to the input of the FBI2000W inverter using appropriate wiring and connectors.
  4. Connect the output of the inverter to your home or business electrical system, following all relevant electrical codes and safety guidelines.
It is important to note that connecting solar panels to an inverter can be a complex process that requires specialized knowledge and expertise. It is recommended that you consult with a professional installer or electrician who can help ensure that your system is properly designed, installed, and configured for optimal performance and safety.

How long a solar pannerl converter last ? WATTNODE WNA-1P-240-P

Normally several years (5-12) unless there is a wiring problem (short). If you have a seperate voltage regulator, check it first.

My inverter seems to be producing too high a voltage when solar input increases, causing the system to shut down and re-cycle many times during the day. I do not see fluctuations in the grid voltage wwhen...

hi
yes there is a voltage regulator of an electronic kind .
I suggest the inverter is well ventilated( if not) and not positioned in direct sun light and shaded as inverters do get quite hot their function better when kept cooler

Red fault light comes on after about 10 mins and

Had a similar problem with the same inverter BUT to include a failing cooling fan.

NOTE:
Take it back and get your money back as soon as possible.

Replaced it with a pure sine inverter 1500 watt that is kicking **** 24 seven days a week on my solar / wind power system.

RECOMENDATIONS:

UPGRADE.

Hope this tip helps.

the solar panel is just to charge your inverter,if it is charging and the inverter is on it will drain the current the solar panel is supplying to the batteries, this makes it look like it is not charging ,so i advice you to switch off you inverter when charging it,get another set of batteries connected to your solar panel then charge both, let them be separated so that the new one is not in use so that when solar is out you can switch to the other set of batteries

I have 46 solar panels which is a 9.2 kwh pv system which feeds 3 sunpower solar inverters which are the 3200 series. Of the three inverters, one constantly goes out for about 4-6 hours from 10-4 in the...

are your inverters rated at 60 cycle full sinusoidal wave form or 60 cycle square wave. while both will be tolerated in a transformer, the square wave tends to heat up because it isn't a sine wave. the peaks of a standard sine wave are cut off if observed on an oscilloscope.

200AMP Breaker trips same time every night

Something doesn't sound right here. You indicate 2 200Amp breakers. With a single service entering the house, this is not possible. The "sub-panel" to the pool house is more likely a 100Amp setup, yes? If not, you have a bad setup and it should be corrected. I would suspect that you are attempting to pull too much current to the pool and that is what is tripping the breaker. Also, these breakers should not be run over about 80% of their capacity for the long haul. If they are, they tend to age and get either real sensitive causing tripping when it shouldn't or you can run 500Amps through it and it won't trip.

My suggestion is to revisit the setup. If the pool house is fed from the main panel, make sure that the breaker for it is not 200Amp. Second, try disabling the pool house breaker to see if that is the source of the problem and look more closely there.

Keep us posted.
