What is the best snoring aid or device to use so that I can go to sleep finally?

If you snore heavily, you can try a chin strap, a moistening throat spray, a dental insert that helps hold the jaw forward, and wearing a T-shirt backwards with a tennis ball sewn in the breast pocket so if you roll onto your back you\'ll roll right off it again. (Laying on your back worsens snoring for most people--and so does sleeping face down with your neck twisted.) BUT : Most importantly, ask if you should GET TESTED for Obstructive Sleep Apnea! If you snore so heavily others complain or you wake yourself or you are often tired and sleepy, etc...you may have diagnosed sleep apnea, and it can be lead to sudden heart arrest in your sleep and long-term heart damage over years. It raises your risk of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, depression, and more. Find out!

Choosing the best climbing helmet for your head

Rock climbing is a very fun hobby but it can also be very dangerous. Wearing a helmet when you climb can be a life saver, but it is important
that you make sure that you are wearing the right helmet both for the
activity you are performing and for your head.

When it comes to selecting the right type of helmet there are two main types to choose from, suspension and sponge. The suspension helmets are very similar to a construction helmet, its a hard shell with a netting on the inside.
These are really great for vertical dropping objects but they tend to be a little heavy. The other type of helmets are the foam helmets. These ones are made out of a lighter-weight polystyrene or polypropylene foam with a hard shell over it. It works by absorbing the energy of the of the falling object in the plastic and will deform the foam permanently. The durability of the helmet depends on the thickness of the shell, but because the impact on the helmet permanently damages the helmet it may not be very effective for extensive use.

After you have chosen the type of helmet that you will be using, its time to head into making sure that you have the right fit for your helmet. Keep in mind that you
will be more likely to use a helmet that fits correctly and is comfortable, before buying you should test out the helmet like you do with a pair of shoes. Many of the top climbing stores will allow you to try on and test out the helmet to make sure that it fits properly.

There are two main features that you have to pay attention to when trying on and picking out the right fitting helmet, they are adjustability and the chin strap. You start by placing the helmet on your head with it straight on your head making sure that you don’t tilt the helmet because you have to keep your forehead protected. Next you want to shake your head from side to side, does the helmet move? If it does then you want to either look for a different size helmet or if you can adjust the straps on the inside of the helmet so that it fits snugly. Then buckle the chin strap, it should fit snugly on your chin and form a Y shape
around your ears. There should not be any slack in the straps and if you
wear a pack make sure that you can lift your head to look up while
wearing the helmet.

A few side notes to keep in mind when considering the helmet you want to get. If you are going to be climbing in a very hot or very cold climate when you buy the helmet make sure to take your headscarf or hat with you so that you get a helmet that fits with them underneath. Where you are going to be climbing can also have an impact on the helmet that you will buy, if you are going to be
climbing in a cold climate that has ice you will want to get a solid helmet that will protect you from falling debris, while if you are going to be climbing in a warmer climate you will want to get a helmet that has air vents to allow for air circulation.

How to wear a hard hat properly

With so many different brand of hard hats there are all kinds of rules and for how a hard hat is meant to be worn. Never fear there are a few points that they all agree on and these are the ones that you should always keep in mind when you head off to work.

First you want to make sure that the suspension straps on the inside of the hat fit properly. You can adjust them by moving the pin to different holes much like you do to change a belt. The plastic of the hat isn't supposed to sit on your head like a regular hat. There has to be space between your head and the hat to help 'cusion' the impact of something hitting your head.

The ******** the back of the hat, one that sticks out lower should be tight on the nape of your neck. This strap helps in keeping the hat in place.

If your hard hat has a chin strap make sure that you have it adjusted properly because this will keep your hat on your head when bending over or looking up. The chin stap should sit on your chin suggly and not be looped under your chin in the space between your chin and your neck.

If you are finding it difficult to get the hat to fit properly never use fillers to make it fit better. You might just have a hat thats not the right size for your head. Using a filler can change the effectiveness of the hat and make it dangerous to use. Its better to ask for a new one then find your own solution.

Are chin straps that help you stop snoring really expensive to buy? I am thinking of trying one but dont have a lot of spare cash.

I bought a chin strap that holds your mouth together to try and stop you from snoring, and it cost me around $7. I think I got it at Amazon but after that I saw it in my local pharmacy as well for around the same price.

But just be warned...I found mine really uncomfortable and my girlfriend said I looked like a monster in it, so I had to give it up after a week.

I heard there is an anti snoring chin strap. Has anyone use one? And do they work?

I don't think so that any other device will work effectively for snoring is my personal experience. As I have already used and tried many options other than surgery. Even I took consultation through many doctors about my snoring problems, but no result. Finally I came to know about Asonor effective Anti Snoring solution

Scott Ski helmet chin strap velcro wrap is fraying where can I get a replacement for it, it is the soft chin pad through which the chin strap goes through.

macaasms-

You're best bet is to contact Scott directly. It may still be under warranty - even if it isn't, you may be able to get a replacement or repair at no charge...if they stand behind their product that is...

I just purchased the Fisher Price Jumperoo Deluxe from a second hand store. The front part of the chair tilts forward and I thought it should be level. How do I fix this?

There should be a fabric strip that goes through 4 places on the jumperoo, under the seat part, and that fastens underneath by fitting over a small metal lever. Put the seat upside down, pull the front straps through the bottom a little to get some slack, pull the metal levers on each side forward (there is a small catch they are placed in when the jumperoo is in use; you'll have to move them up and forward to get them out of place and maneuver them so you can reposition the straps) and pull the straps off the metal levers. You can then choose the next tightest setting for the straps and push the metal levers back into place.

If you do not have a local dealer for these watches then, having looked closely at the illustrations on their web site it looks to me as though a standard strap should fit.

Have you already tried a local supplier?

(The makers web site is no help, as there doesn''t appear to be an english version but I can understand most of the description and replacement straps are not offered.)

Not sure if the strap goes on the chin or under it or how to keep it tight

if it goes on the chin it will have a pad that looks like a bowl/cup. it will be molded like a chin profile. if it is just padding then it will just over the clip.
