• If steam ironing, is Adjustable Steam Knob in a steam position that matches Temperature Control Dial steam range? Did the iron have enough time to preheat?
• If dry ironing, make sure the Adjustable Steam Knob is in the DRY IRON position.
There are number of commercial cleaners available. CLR is one of them. You can also use 50% vinegar and 50% water. Pour the mixture into the water chamber and let the iron sit overnight. Switch on the iron the next day and put it on steam. Hold the iron over the sink. The dirt will come out of the holes on the sole plate. If the iron is badly scaled you may need to repeat the process or use CLR following the instructions on the bottle. Using distilled water in the iron will eliminate or reduce the need to de-scale the iron.
fill with water turn iron on max keep turning steam dial all the way to the right until you get to self clean hold iron horizontal and make sure you have a towel or something to catch water drips and debris coming out of iron let iron steam and spit water out until it stops on its own turn dial back to regular steam settings wipe residue off of the plate with a towel adjust temp settings back to normal
I had same issue , now , once you turn the unit on , you should see displayed 3 steam jets and the flashing standby , turn the dial on the iron to max ,press the steam button on the machine to max steam , leave for a minute or so , now press the steam button on the iron , does it make a noise ? if it does , slightly raise the whole front end of the unit ( easier if you have the iron on the worktop and not on the unit !) for a minute then try and press the steam button on the iron again . I think there is a bit of an issue about the conection between the water tank and the filter . This solved my issues and i do hope it will help you .

Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel. It is not necessary to empty the water reservoir after each use of the iron, if you iron frequently. To empty the iron, hold the iron over the sink with the tip pointing down. Water will stream out of the water fill opening.
TO CLEAN THE OUTSIDE SURFACES
• Unplug and allow iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate and outer surfaces with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild household detergent. Never use abrasives, heavy duty cleansers, vinegar, or scouring pads that may scratch or discolor the iron.
• After cleaning, iron with steam over an old cloth to remove any residue from the steam vents. ABOUT THE SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM
• Use the self-cleaning system to flush out minerals and lint. If lint is allowed to accumulate in the vents, it can scorch and cause brown spotting. For Models D2000 and D2020: Clean about once a month. For Models D2010, D2030 and D2035: A "CLEAN" indicator will appear in the digital display to notify you when your iron needs cleaning (A).
• Fill the iron as described in "How to Use" but keep the water level below the MAX line. Plug in the iron, set the temperature to 6, and stand the iron on its heel rest. Allow to heat about 3 minutes.
• Unplug the iron and take it to a sink. Holding it horizontally over a sink, move and HOLD the variable steam dial in the CLEAN position ( ). There may be some hissing and spitting while self-cleaning. This is normal.
• Stay clear of HOT steam and boiling water as it comes out of the vents while lint, scale, and minerals flush through! Continue to hold the variable steam dial in the CLEAN position until all the water has emptied. If necessary, rock the iron side to side and front to back to empty it.
• When finished, release the variable steam dial, stand the iron on its heel rest, and plug it in. Heat for about 2 minutes to dry out any remaining water then unplug.

Calc-Clean function The Calc-Clean function removes scale and impurities.
To do so, set the steam control to position '0', set the temperature dial to 'MAX', and fill water tank up to the 'MAX' level. Then heat up the iron until the pilot light on the handgrip goes out.
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and hold the iron horizontally over the sink. Then press and hold down the 'CALC CLEAN' button.
Move the iron forwards and backwards while boiling water/steam squirt from the holes in the soleplate to wash away impurities/scales.
When the water tank is empty, heat up the iron to dry it.
Finally move the iron to and fro on a piece of cloth to dry the soleplate. Repeat the process if necessary
SELF CLEANINGIt is important to “Self Clean” the iron at least every two weeksto remove scale, calcium, etc. The harder the water, the more often the iron should be self cleaned.1. Set the variable steam control dial to any steam position.2. Fill the water tank up to the “MAX” level.3. Stand the iron on its heel. Plug the iron into the electrical outlet.4.Press the electronic temperature control button until you get the “MAX” temperature setting on the display panel and wait until the iron heats up and temperature setting light stops flashing.5. Turn the variable steam control dial all the way to the right to the self-cleaning position and hold the iron horizontally over the sink (Fig. 8).6. Boiling water and steam will now be ejected from the holes in the soleplate. The impurities and scale are washed away with it. 7. Move the iron back and forth as this happens.8. If there is any water left in the water tank after the iron stops steaming, just empty the remaining water in a sink following the instructions for emptying the iron. 9.Turn the variable steam control dial to the “0” position when the water tank is empty.10.Place the iron back upright on its heel to cool down before storing.

Continue to hold the dial in the clean position until all the water has emptied. If necessary rock side to side and back to front to get all the water out. When finished release the steam dial plug in the iron and heat for about 2 mins to dry out the remaining water and unplug.
