Thats needs a technician to follow the voltages and maybe find out if there are damaged components.

Have you got any other remotes in the room that could be faulty or interfering with the WDTV.
Also:
try resetting via the side button with the unit on.
resetting to factory defaults via the internet menu.
unplugging the unit from power for some minutes (not seconds).
Do all the above one after the other before using the WDTV.
Sometimes this helps particularity after a firmware update.
The input source of the TV can be changed either through the supplied TV remote or physical buttons located on the TV itself.
Changing input source using the supplied TV remote.
  1. Press the INPUT button on the supplied TV remote.
  2. The input source screen will be displayed on the screen of the TV.
  3. Using the arrow keys, choose one of the input sources on the input selection screen.
  4. Confirm the selection by pressing the Enter button.
Changing input source using the physical buttons on the TV.
  1. Press the INPUT button located at the back of the TV panel.
  2. The input source selection screen will be displayed.
  3. To scroll through the options, press the INPUT button repeatedly. The last highlighted option will be chosen after few seconds.

My bauhn TV screen stopped working. DVD plays sound but no picture. Can the TV be reset or rebooted

You can try unplugging the units--no picture often means the DVD has a dirty or failed optical unit.

What's your problem?

First, make sure this isn't coming from your signal source; these items are not listed in any of the functions described in the manual for your monitor.
If disconnecting, changing or turning off your signal source doesn't get rid of the control item display, try resetting the monitor (maybe the display has some extra firmware features not in the documentation):
  1. Press the Menu button on the side of the monitor.
  2. From the On-Screen Display, navigate to the Setup&Reset menu using the arrow buttons, then press the Source/Select button.
  3. Navigate to "Reset" and select it.
This should restore everything to the factory default setting and get the TV/monitor out of whatever mode it's in.

Want to cancell progressive scan settings

Hello fiddlehead,

Well, here is the procedure to reset the SC-HT440 . While unit is powered and stopped, select “DVD/CD” as the source. Press and hold [■] (Stop) button on the main unit and [≥10] key on the remote control until “Initialized” disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again. All settings will return to the default values.
Since you mention that you can not see the menu on your TV's screen, then you won't be able to see the "initialized" disappear, so, give it a second try if the first fails or press and hold the keys for a little longer.
Let me know how this works for you.
