I upgraded my hp pavilion 9715nr notebook to windows 7 and need the bios and all the drivers for it

The BIOS, which stands for Basic Input-Output System, is the software that allows your operating system to work with your computer hardware. The BIOS software is stored on a separate chip that receives constant power from a small battery, called the CMOS battery. This battery allows the BIOS to process information, such as the system time, even when the computer is unplugged. HP releases updates for the BIOS on its Pavilion computers periodically, and it is important that you apply these updates to your computer to ensure a smoothly running system.

Restart the computer. Press the "F10" key when the HP logo appears on the screen. This is the hot key that allows you to access the BIOS. Locate the version of the BIOS installed on your system on the main BIOS screen. Press "F10" and select "Yes" to exit the BIOS. b> Upgrading Your BIOS b> Go to the HP Software and Drivers page in your Web browser. (See Below.) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/static_software_select?swlinkmsg=100&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01087277 Enter the model number of your Pavilion, which will be on the sticker containing the serial number, located on the bottom or rear of the computer, then press "Enter." Select the operating system that your notebook is currently running. Locate WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS in the BIOS section of the page. Verify that the version offered is later than the version currently installed on your Pavilion and download the file, using the "Download Only" option. Locate and double-click the file that was downloaded from the HP Software and Drivers page to begin the BIOS update. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

it might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: it will find all of your outdated drivers
This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point.

Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated.

Hope this helps.

I seriously wouldnt be flashing/updating the BIOS unless you really have a need to. Some computers really dont like to work anymore after doing. If everything is working fine dont touch it. The only time ive ever upgraded BIOS is on older computers some of which wouldnt boot from CD or some wouldnt read large Hard Drives. Yours is quite a nice modern laptop dont touch it. Cheers from Scott and plz vote
