Hi the first thing you do to format your memory stick is you need to Insert the memory stick on the camera because it is formatted in the camera.On the camera,you need to turn the MODE DIAL to the SETUP position.And then turn on the camera. By using the CONTROL BUTTON, kindly press the DOWN ARROW button to select MEMORY STICK TOOL.And press the center of the CONTROL BUTTON.Kindly press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select FORMAT.After that press the RIGHT ARROW button.Kindly press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select OK and press the center of the CONTROL BUTTON. You've got a good bit of choice, it will handle any of the following. 1/4-Inch thru 9/16-Inch heavy duty PowerShot and Arrow T50 staples and

Push the button below the word 'menu'. The word 'setup' should appear. If not press the right arrow on the advance button located on the dial below the menu button. Then you should see a column of icons that look like cameras(?).
Push the down arrow on the same dial. Move down to the third one and then push the right arrow. You should see the word 'language'. Highlight that and push the right arrow again. You will see a list of language options. Highlight the one you want and then press the center button or left arrow to back out of this.
