We take the load out of the washer and put them in the dryer. Set the dryer for a hour and when its done the cloths are still wet. Were having to run the load through three or four times. I've checked the hose on the back its good, the lent trap is clean. The laundry room is upstairs not sure if the vent goes up or down.

Same problem here....I have had my brand new Whirlpool Duet Steam front load washer for a whole 4 days... It has worked perfectly until now. I checked on the clothes because it seemed like they just kept going and going... they were soaking wet!! When I took the clothes out the dryer had a huge puddle of water in it..Can anyone offer any help?
I have the same problem. The half load / drying button is pushed in; the drying time set; I've reduced the load to almost nothing, but it won't dry. I've tried numerous cycles. The clothes spin, but are still damp at the end.
How would I go about checking my lid switch or fixing my clutch, if that's the problem?
I ALWAYS START WITH VENTING WHEN CALLED WITH LONG DRYING TIMES BUT I HAVE SEEN WHERE ONLY HALF OF THE HEATING ELEMENT IS WORKING, WHICH IS PRETTY RARE. A NORMAL LOAD WOULD BE WHATEVER THE WASHER HAD IN IT WHICH WOULD BE LOOSLY FILLED TO THE TOP ROW OF HOLES IN THE WASHER TUB. THE ONLY OTHER QUESTION I WOULD ASK IS IF THE WASHER SEEMS TO BE SPINNING OUT PROPERLY AND IF THE CLOTHES ARE GOING INTO THE DRYER TOO WET.
Check in the hole where the screen goes for blockage. Many times debries falls in there when removing screen. It cant make it out of the vent so it builds up and clogs the vent.
it sounds like an airflow problem. check everywhere the air flows. inside the lint catch. the vent behind the dryer may be clogged or kinked. the exhaust line in the floor or wall of the house might be clogged.
I am having the same problem w/ our brand new front loader washer, it pauses constantly, and even when I can get the load to finish, I have to drain and spin atleast 3 x before I can even attempt to put in dryer, at this point it is taking me hours to do one load of laundry!!
Ugh-- Service man is coming tomorrow, so I will share what I learn...
