Question about General Electric Dryers
I have a GE Dryer, 540B358P001, and I had a 3 prong cord attached, I need to attach a 4 pron no g power cord and cannot find the manual. I need instructions on how to do this
Red and black go to outside terminals white goes to middle terminal, green wire goes to cabinet ground

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
OLD wires have the center terminal ground strap connected. Remove the ground strip from the post and just move it away from any terminals so that is hangs free but does NOT touch the venter terminal. It will NOT be used on the 4 wire cord.
Then connect Black to Black Red to Red White to the center terminal and GREEN must be physically attached to the cabinet. Failure to follow these steps will result in the dryer heating up even while OFF. .
