Replacement lids for Salton Jars

Looking for replacement lids for the jars in the Salton YM4 and YM5 yogurt makers. Have both sizes, and most of the lids are cracked (one has 8 oz jars, the other is 12 oz jars).

**Yogurt maker is not in the Subcategories list, so I chose Ice Cream Makers as being the next closest item.

I don't know the exact size you need, but for that kind of thing I go to Uline. They seem to have almost everything that no one else does. Their minimum order may be more than you want, though. http://www.uline.com/

I have lost the clear Canister lid and cap. Can I get a replacement

I have found that 90% of canister Ice cream makers are modeled the same, I have had a Back to Basics, Rival and West Bend Ice cream makers and the lids are interchangeable.

A lot of companies don't make replacement parts so I usually go with the West Bend lid. The first thing you will want to do if find the brand on your Ice Cream maker (usually found on the motor/top) and see if the manufacture does make replacement parts for your machine. If they do not have parts available I would try the West Bend Ice Cream maker lid U66-2, like i said it is a pretty standard size and will fit most Ice Cream Canisters.

Here is a link to West Bends part page: IC10885 Ice Cream Maker

The lid is very inexpensive so even if it doesn't fit your not throwing away a lot of money.

Euro cuisine yogurt maker- no instruction booklet

1. Pour 7 glass jars (42 oz total) of fresh pasteurized milk (whole or skimmed) into a high-sided saucepan.
2. Heat the milk until it boils (203F) and starts to climb to the side of the saucepan. Boiling will make the yogurt firmer,
3. Remove the pan from heat and allow the milk to cool to room temperature (95F)
4. Strain the milk into a pitcher
5. Stir in 1 glass (6oz) of natural yogurt with some of the strained milk in a separate bowl until the yogurt is dissolved and you have a smooth mixture (Freeze-dried Yogurt Starter can be used here as well).
6. Mix the room temperature milk very well with the smooth mixture as prepared above
7. Pour the mixture into the seven jars, and place the jars - without the lids - in the yogurt maker
8. Cover the yogurt maker with the clear cover.
9. Plug into the power outlet and let it sit still for 6 hr (whole milk) or 8 hr (skimmed milk)
10. Unplug when the time is up. Remove the jars, put the lids on, and refrigerate at least 3 hrs

To much of yogurt or ice cream stuck to sides of bowl. What is the solution? 1.5 Cusinart ice cream maker

Use a silicon jiffer (rubber spatula to get stuff from walls of jars) to get it off walls and into bowl. You can also warm the bowl with warm/hot water on the outside and slide it out.

Do not use metal or it will scratch. Abrasive cleansers and scrubbing cloths will do this too ... so no steel wool please.
