I can help you with your URC-3021 Universal Remote Control issues.
I do not see a listing for Magnasonic DVD players in the Urc-3021 Code List.
But don't
give up; many manufacturer's re-use other's control codes. Therefore,
I recommend using the URC-3021 Code Search feature to find the
compatible codes to control your device.
Unfortunately Sony does not list codes for a Magnasonic TV. Most TV's are manufactured by 2 or 3 main manufacturers, so you might want to check with the place that sold you the TV and ask if another manufacturers codes might work..
If the GE doesn't have a code scan function (similar to ExpressVu remotes) then you can always buy a programmable remote such as the Logitec Harmony. I tried it and it works fine on my Magnasonic GCT5501.
