My phone turns off every time it goes into screen timeout. i have to turn it back on every single time or change the settings so that the screen never times out, which is killing my battery.
I ahve an app installed on my LG G2 called battery saver get it at the store it has a little green droid dude get it install it and set it up how you want this will save you tons of battery usage.
For the screen saver you have to go into your security settings and configure it different way such as swipe or the draw on the screen type. with the Battery Saver app you will have no problems.

I had the frozen blue screen twice. As a cowboy reset, I removed the battery for a minute, then put it back in. Worked for me, didn't erase my contacts or anything.
SOURCE: Click on the LG Dare display settings button and the phone resets
all you do is go into your security and settings and reset the phone. it will turn the phone on and back off again. but this should fix the problem and restore the ability to get into your display settings, as well as view your date and time.
