I connected my new iPhone 3G for the first time to my PC and iTunes (latest version) says it can detect an iPhone but have problems connecting to it and asks to unplug iPhone and reconnect again which the same thing happens. As such i cant sync, etc my iPhone to my PC - any ideas what to do? Thanks!
Hi Try and plug your iphone to another pc and see if the same problem is still there, if no problem is form your pc, other wise you are having a problem whit your iphone i would advise to send your iphone to repair to www.E-Repairs.co.uk
Disconnect iPhone and close iTunes.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools.
Under Administrative Tools, Go to Services and look for 2 services.
Apple Mobile Device
iPod service
Both services should be started If they are not, start both of them.
Start iTunes and wait for it to finish loading.
Reconnect iPhone.
This might be a usb problem. Try to remove all your usb devices, restart the computer then plug in only your iPhone, again try different usb port.BTW don't use the dock to connect your iPhone with the computer, use the cable that come with the iPhone.Good luck n hope this help!
Put the phone into DFU or Recovery mode: Hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds, release the power button and continue holding the home button for 5 seconds. Then plug into iTunes and it will update
Or restart the iphone
put it on dfu mode and restore.
Have a look on your itunes there should be an option to "authourise computer" in one of the tabs at the top, you need to activate that.... worked for me hope this helps
