My Kenmore Ref's water dispensing system stopped dispensing water. The ice maker still works. Wmorehat seeme to cause the problem? Thanks.
Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?
Try cleaning out the grate at the bottom of the fridge. If it hasn't been cleaned in a while there can be a grime build up almost like the lint build up in a dryer. Once that and other lruking debris is removed water should resume dispensing. Hth!
Thank you for your response. Yes I do hear the noise when the glass is pushed against the switch. cubes and crushed work, just the water doesn't come out.
On the Kenmore refrigerator model 106 keephe recommended setting of 38 degrees any lower could cause the water tank to freeze and your water dispenser will not work. NO WATER...

The water dispenser stopped working. The instrument panel lights are not on. I do not understand what is the problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
my fridge just started doing the same thing yes. no water comes out but ice maker still works. ive tried holding the switch for a min or so to see if any bubbles etc...nothing. it doesnt even make any noise.???? help
Our 2 week old side by side dispences ice no promblem but stopped dispencing water. It seems to have power but no water. I suspect the water line is frozen as suggested,but Where is it? There is nothing in the manual of the location and in waiting for the repairmen to call next week to make an appointment to look at it I would love to solve it myself. The manual in troubleshooting doesn,t give any of the possible solutions that the letters in this forumhave given which seem the most logical and easy solutions. The manual gives complicated promblems and solutions. Not impressed. Hope someone here can help with the location. Thanks
