First time i have used an awz 412 model. From start to finish (wash to dry) what is the proper functions of using this washing machine? ie once i have washed the clothes do can i go straight into drying? Reason i ask is that the clothes are taking forever to dry so i am just wondering what is the proper procedure!!
SOURCE: Not draining
it will be the pump they have a small fan inside them they get weak and with the pressure of the water they stop spinning which doesnt push your the water through the motor fast enough to drain properly replace and you will see the difference
SOURCE: does not spin and rinse properly
Sounds like motor is not coming up to spin speed. May be overheating, in which case you would need a new motor.

Sorry I'm way late with this but I've only just noticed it. Unplug the machine from the mains! Remove the lid (with a torx screwdriver) and you'll notice a small circular device with 2 leads attached on the top of the machine, in the centre there's a small button, press it and it should click......you've fixed it This is a thermal cutout safety device designed to switch the drying heater off if it becomes too hot. The probable cause for this is that you've over filled the machine and the air didn't circulate freely. as a rule of thumb, dry 1/2 as many clothes as you wash.
SOURCE: why wont my machine start drying?
I called Whirlpool on 08706008989. The machine can only dry half a load of washing at a time. At the end of the washing cycle, the Programme dial should be at either the sun or half sun symbol. Remove half the washing, set the drying time via the drying time dial and press the 1/2 Load Dryer button - Voila dry clothes!
SOURCE: dryer
It sounds as if you have the dryer button pressed in before you start the wash! If you don't. it is likely it is stuck in or the switch is shorting out on the back. Unless you are a competent DIYer, find someone who is to check the electrical connections and test whether the switch is working correctly.
