SOURCE: FE error is displayed in my whirlpool washing machine what to do?
How do you know this is a generic problem for all whirpool washers?
What I can tell you is: ever since electronic controls were placed with appliances (dishwhrs, dryrs, wshrs, frigs, etc) there was this new age of error and fault codes that would lock-up the electronics. I always recommend people buy the mechanical control appliances because you do not have these interim problems. Mechanics justs keep ungoing, and if it will fail some day, you usually have a warning period, and it is more likely to be cheaper to repair than electronic controls.
Aside from all that, your owners manual should have a section in the rear that says trouble shooting; this usually has some of the standard error/fault codes and it can tell you what it stands for. Most errors can be eliminated by unplugging this electric cord and waiting 1 minute for the ciruit board to reset itself. The usual causes are: out of balance load that shook the machine too much, an overfill of water level, and overload of too much heavy close that caused the machine to strain the engine, or a short temporary power interuption while the machine was operating. Try the plug rest method and pay better attention to the load/overload. Hope all will be good. Macgivor

1E - WATER PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR
* Generated Frequency Signal of WATER LEVEL (WIL) SIW (KHz)
Normal Level = Abnormal W/L Frequency
Low Level = 30.00 Khz
High Level = 15.00 Khz
If the same signal is detected for more than 5 seconds, it is a PRESSURE SWITCH Error. When this error occurs the drain pump will operate for 3 min. and the display will show 1 E indicating a pressure switch error.

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.
If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.
With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.
If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.
Also - please be sure to use He soap.
