After un screwing it, try to position the longer blade in a vertical position lift and gently tilt it should come right out
Older KitchenAid blenders had a jar that was
made so the blade assembly could be removed for cleaning. On the newer models
the blender jar and the blade assembly are all one unit so you have to purchase
a new jar to get the blade assembly. All of this is dependent on which
model of blender you have.
