Certain codes will appear on the display to indicate various malfunctions of the cooler. E. g. if E2 appears in case the fault of the temperature sensor.
From all Samsung recomendations... if your air
conditioner displays E1 in the display panel and won't turn on, it means that
the Room Thermistor (a device connected to the thermostat that detects room
temperature) is shorted or defective, and you need to have your air conditioner
serviced.
If it
displays E2, E3, or any other E error, you also need to have your air
conditioner serviced.
To arrange
for service, contact Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864) any
day between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Have the model number and serial number of
your air conditioner on hand when you call.
If you turned this unit on right away after you received it you may haved damaged the compressor. You should always let a rfrigeration or a/c unit sit in its up right position for atleast 12 hrs. before operating, so that pressures and oil can equalize inside the system, unplug the unit and check the wires at the compressor and make sure they are still connected, Good luck.
It could be the control board. I found out that this model air conditoner has had problems with moisture getting in the control panel and shorting it out when it's humid outside. I have the part number if anyone wants it. It cost me about $45 from Sears Parts.
There should be a solar panel on top of your roof top air conditoner. There is a quick disonnect for the solar panel. If the monitor light illuminates the solar panel is working.
