On the final spin cycle my washer rumbles and makes a very loud noise. It's a Kenmore front loader. The whole drum seems to wobble back and forth.
It's not a leveling problem,if it's loud in the spin you have a bad spider gear, using to much soap and overloading will cause this,if you open the door and look at the back wall of the tub you'll see a piece sign, that's the gear,it's made of soft metal, the soap sticks to it and eats at it like acid, everyone is used to the older washers, they used alot more water, when using he detergent you should use no more than two tablespoons of soap,i don't care what the bottle says or the dispenser two tablespoons that's it,use less water you have to use less soap and this soap is not like the old soap we used to use,you might notice your washer has a bad smell in it,that's from the soap buildup,it would be to much to repair it you'll be better off replacing the washer, you have to buy the spin basket and to replace it you have to remove the tub, separate it and change out the spin basket and that's the back part of the outer tub.
Yea these things are a mother to get level. And if you get them right, a wood floor will settle under there heavy wieght. I found that after the third releveling . The last time i set all the screw adjusting feet to 35 inch pounds after initial truing. It has been good now for 18 months. One more thing, they have cast ceramic "frames" around the nylon drum that wont take too much abuse. Be sure its level before you cause serious damage.
