The replacement part number is a 10SC. You can contact Master Parts to order one. You can find them online at www.masterparts.net or you can call them toll free at 800-446-1446. I hope this helps...

    I just bought a replacement chain at Lowes. The Oregon S40 is the one to buy. Other sites show an S52 but it is a 14" chain that does NOT fit. Only a 10' fits the the 10sc.

It should, I have been on this earth to long for a definate answer. Both saws have 40 drive links, are 3/8s, and a gauge of 0.050. Please verify my findings here:

Have you contacted a local saw shop? With your chain as a pattern they can make a replacement in couple of minutes. Inquire by phone about a price you may be pleasantly surprised. Give them Oregon number 91VG040G (low kickback, most likely what your saw is fitted with). If you feel adept you might try a slightly more agressive chain but the odds of kick back increase. HTH

The Bar adjustment is normally a nut that screws onto a fixed threaded bolt. My advice would be to replace the nuts with Nyloc nuts and grip washers or use Loctite Red on what you have.

108526-1 pole saw
I bought this chain without first examining the "count" of my old chain. I found this new chain had 39 drive-links while my OLD chain had 40 links. My 10" Remington saw had enough chain-tensioning adjustment to compensate for that missing link and this new 39-link chain runs fine... cuts very well. Happy.

REMINGTON POLE CHAIN SAW
The chain has to be tensioned when replaced. You lift the chain away from the bar about halfway and the tangs that run in the bar should just almost come out of the groove. There is a screw that extends the bar near where it attaches near the sprocket. adjust that with the bar mounting nuts not quite tight till the chain is tensioned correctely.
