My memorex karaoke machine microphone doesn't work...
Model # MKS 5012 microphone doesn't work. Do you think that if I bought a new one that it would solve my problem... or is there another problem that I am not aware of?

If your player has these functions and your user manual doenst have the instructions its maybe cause your model doesnt support it. you may need to contact the manufacturer for details regarding this.
I cant be certin as I dont own that particular model nor do i have experience with that model. If you have a microphone jack then the chances are it supports it.
In most players with this feature there is a karaoke setting and a button on the remote to access it. in some players you will need to access it through the menu button on the remote or karaoke button. Its different in all players.
Hi, got this info from philips customer service. Was desperately trying to get the karaoke function to work for 2 weeks! Plug in your microphone. Press "KARAOKE" button until you see "MIC OFF" text, and immediately press RIGHT button. It will now shows "MIC ON"! "ECHO", "KEY" options will now shows up when pressing "KARAOKE" button repeatedly. However, microphone sound will not be available on digital output, you'll have to use the audio RCA. Happy singing!
Had same problem opened up back found blown fuse replaced and still blows.
Unhooked power source from were fuse was blown and fuse dose not blow seems to be something in that big board above it.I'm realy not into repairing of electronic boards. There is a lot or stuff going on inside there.
I work for Memorex tech support. Our number is 800-919-3647.
I
know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described
can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your karaoke machine needs to be repaired.
There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. The problem is Memorex no longer stocks replacement parts for most of their electronics. If your unit is under warranty, it will be replaced by the company. If it is out of warranty, please call the above number to see if your model qualifies for any out of warranty exchange options.
