SOURCE: What do you do if it blinks and you tried pressing f9,f2,f1,etc. and it won't work?

Remove the main battery and try again, if no! sub out the ram one at a time and test each, if still no result! the motherboard has a major issue.

Funtional keys are not working in lenovo

Function keys on many laptops are used as the secondary set and the individual functions of the keys have been shifted to the primary functions. Thus, if you press F1 and things are normal, you would get some kind of "help" But if, as in many laptops, the functions of those "F" keys has been reversed you might get an Internet key, a brightness key, some kind of CD opening key, or whatever the manufacture decided. F2, as another instance, is used to trigger "edit" of the current item....but in many laptops pressing F2 just turns off your wireless signal or dims the screen slightly. In those cases the way to access the expected Fkey functions is to hole the Fn key down (at the bottom left of the keyboard) then press the desired F key. Personally I find it nuts to have reversed an PC age old way but I'm not in charge of keeping people happy so it's not happening.

Hope that helps.

Please see attached photo, this is what's

what are you trying to do ?
a bit more information might be able to help you.
IE: what are you doing when this (pop up) occurs ?
and why are striking the F1 or F2 keys ?

Computer keyboards contain keys that, when pressed on their own or in conjunction with another key, provide shortcuts to performing functions, saving time and keystrokes.
On most keyboards, these are the function, or "F," keys that run along the top of the keyboard. "F1" and "F2" are members of this group.
F1 Function Key

Pressing the "F1" function key while you are in an application will bring up the application's help file.
Pressing it when you are not in Windows Explorer or on the desktop produces the "Windows Help" file.
If you are in an application and press the "F1" button along with the Windows button, you will get the "Windows Help" file.

F1 Function Key Combined With Other Keys
"F1" can be pressed with other keys to gain a variety of results and functions.
Press "F1" and the "Shift" key to start context sensitive help, or help for the application.
Use the "F1" key with "Alt" to go to the next field in an application.
Press "F1," "Shift" and "Alt" at the same time to return to the previous field in an application.
To display the Microsoft system information, press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "F1" at the same time.

F2 Function Key Clicking on an icon on your desktop and pressing the "F2" function key will put the icon into rename mode in the same way as right-clicking on the icon and scrolling to "Rename."
F2 Function Key Combined With Other Keys
"F2" when pressed with other keys combines functions commonly found in the application "File" and "Edit" menus.
To copy selected text, highlight the text and press "Shift" with "F2."
To view a print preview of a document, press "Ctrl" with "F2" when in a document.
To save a document, press "Alt," "Shift" and "F2 together when in the application.
To choose the open file command, press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "F2."

I need to know what are the function keys on a keyboard

Hello earthaalford:
Your function keys are usually located on the top row and are labeled F1,F2,F3 and so forth. The function of those keys depends on what program you are currently operating in ie: Windows, Office , Word, Excel or any number of other programs.
Hope this helps, if it did just click the thumbs up.
Sincerely, Peter N.

Create a barcode for F1 and F2 using Labelview

If you have created your barcodes as "F1" and "F2" you will have to create two Advanced Data Formatting rules with the LS2208 Product Reference Guide. This link will take you to the manual. Print only the barcodes you need from the list below then scan them in the order they are listed:
Begin New Rule
Specific String at Start
F (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
1 (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
End of message (from the Alpha-numeric section of manual)
Send F1 Key
Save Rule
Begin New Rule
Specific String at Start
F
2
End of Message
Send F2
Save Rule

That should do it!
