Not heating up

If you are unable to set the knob properly, you can check the user manual and make sure the temperature or heat amount is set at the right point.

2...Another thing that you need to check in order to inspect why the iron press is not heating up is the water reservoir. In some cases, if the water reservoir is empty then the iron press may not be heating up as much as it should.

For this, switch the iron off and make sure it is cool. Switch it on again and top up the water in the reservoir. Now try ironing again to see whether the heat is proper or not.

take it to an appliance repair shop for a diagnosis of the problem
it it was new 2 months ago take it back for a warranty replacement or refund

1) no voltage to receptacle
2)defective cord, or terminal connection
3) open thermostat
4) open heating element

try opening the iron and see if the wires are connected to the thermostat/heating element, if not you can easily tie them again, it sometimes happens when the thermostat fails to open the circuit and the heating elements over heat and causes a break in the line or heating element.

The heating element is incorporated in the base. Rarely is the heating element bad. Its usually a connection or control problem. You cannot just replace the heating element.
