How do I tighten the refridgerator door handle on a AFD2535 french door refrigerator
The door is completly sealed with no way to get to the screws. DI'm thinking that the door handle just slides into place after the brackets are installed. I've tried to pull up on the handle to see if it releases, but nothing. Some advice would be greatly appreciated since my warranty has run out. Thanks,Scott I have a loose bottom handle on an Amana AFD2535DEB refrigerator. I can't figure out how to get it off or how to tighten it. I need help.

There is two allen set screws for each hand at both end and they are facing each other on the handles.. Remove the allen screw and put a very minute speck of jelly on each screw---small-small amount. This will kept the set screws from loosen up. GB...stewbison
look for a small hole on one side of the handle. There should be a set screw there you can tighten. (the handle attaches to a ball shaped peg under the handle, and does not attach from the inside of the door)
Its a two person job. One person has to looses up the two hidges holding the door just slightly while the other person holds the door in place. Once in place tighten the screw/bolts for the hidges back up and check. If not aligned, redo it again until it is aligned and seals properly..
Good Luck!
There is a "set screw" on the underside of the posts that connect the handle to the mounting posts on the face of the door of my Jenn-Air bottom freezer. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the set crew, which is very small (my Jenn-Air requires a 3/32" Allen wrench), and then tighten the bolt on the mounting post on the face of the freezer door. Position the handle over the post, then tighten the set screws with the Allen wrench. Cynthia
Hi, Please get me the model # from the label inside the refrigerator and I will look this up for you. Most handles have a set screw that tightens down.
I had this problem with the bottom freezer door of my Amana. What I did was slide off the entire door handle by applying pressure pushing toward the right to get the handle off. Once the handle was off, I slid the clip (which was still clipped on to the door) off and screwed it back on to the handle. Once the clip was tightly secured to the back side of the handle, I carefully slid the handle bar back on to the door by sliding it to the left back on to the door clips until it clicked securely back into place.
