LG WM3431HW. The drain filter area is rattling, and it ends up stopping with an 'OE' error pre-spin. I don't see any coins or debris in the drain space. There is a hairline crack in the plastic white piece that spins. I also tried to check the drain tube but don't see any obstructions or kinks. I am currently manually draining the washer. Drain and rinse cycle has OE error as well.
Hi
OE in your dishwasher is a
drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked
drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain
is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then
remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump
for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely.
Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the
chopper assembly. If the issue
returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The code OE is a draining error. The washer has sensed that the water has not completely drained all of the water within 10 minutes and will display this error code. The grinding noise you are describing is most likely a failed drain pump or clogged with foreign debris.
If you are unable to resolve the issue by cleaning, I would recommend replacing the drain pump.
