The OE error or fault code to indicate that the washing machine is not draining properly. Check to be sure the drain hose isn't clogged or kinked. If that checks out, check to see if the drain pump or drain pump filter are clogged. Sometimes objects that are put into the washing machine, for example combs, money, hair pins, etc. end up in the filter. Finally, if the drain line is clear and the pump seems to be clear and functioning properly, you may need to replace the drain pump assembly.

OE in your dishwasher is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. If the issue returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

Check the drain hose for blockage. and see if the water filters is clogged. Specific instructions will vary based on your specific LG model. Most LG frontloaders have an access panel on the front for the water filter.

The code OE is a draining error. The washer has sensed that the water has not completely drained all of the water within 10 minutes and will display this error code. The grinding noise you are describing is most likely a failed drain pump or clogged with foreign debris.

1. Locate your drain pump access door on the front of the machine.
2. Clean out the filter area.

If you are unable to resolve the issue by cleaning, I would recommend replacing the drain pump.

The OE error is "Outlet Error" for the draining the water from the unit.

The unit is having trouble draining the water from the unit and that is why there is an error code.

You need to be sure there is nothing in the pump's filter (located at the bottom left on the front panel) that is restricting the water's flow.

If the pump's filter and housing is clear then it is the pump that has or is going bad.

The pump will fail because a seal will let water into the back side of the motor and case it to lock up.

OE error is noyhing but an Outlet Error.. OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Clean and straighten the drain hose / clean the drain filter. Check the hoses (drain hose) and the pump filter but if it didn't cure the problem then turn the thing upside down and strip the pump out of it check if anything is caught in the impellor.. if so remove it and everything will be fine..

The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.

OE is a drain error (indicating the machine has not drained out in under 10 minutes). If the drain pump is not coming on at all then you have a bad drain pump motor. If it is trying to drain then you may have a clogged up drain hose. The most likely cause is a bad drain pump motor. Hope this helps.
