Page 1. Activating/Deactivating Cooling Off Mode
When the refrigerator is in Cooling Off Mode (aka Demo Mode) the display will read "OF OF, O FF, or OFF OFF." Cooling Off Mode prevents the unit from cooling. It is used by retailers to display units without wasting energy.
Note: Models without digital displays will display scrolling lines when the unit is in Cooling Off Mode.
Tip: If your display panel has buttons that have to be pushed in to perform any functions, replace the word "Touch" with "Push" or "Press" in the following steps.
- Touch and hold the top two buttons on the left side of the display panel.
Important: You must touch the 2 buttons at the exact same time. Not doing so will result in an unsuccessful attempt to activate/deactivate Cooling Off Mode.

Notes:
- As long as the display panel is located on the exterior of the left door of your refrigerator you will use the top two buttons on the left side of the display panel to activate/deactivate Cooling Off Mode.
- If your display panel is located inside of the unit along the door frame you will need to locate the words "Cooling Off (Hold 3 sec)" printed on the panel. The Power Freeze and Freezer buttons are the two buttons used for Cooling Off mode on these models.
- Wi-Fi Touchscreen displays on RF4289* and RSG309* are exceptions to this article. Cooling Off Mode is activated/deactivated through the settings menu.
