SOURCE: I bought a front loading

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(try following these guidance notes first- just in case!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
John C

FA Stackable Washer / Dryer combo... LINT TRAP FULL / CYCLE STOPS

Question edited for clarity.

I can think of two things.

First wash the lint filter with dish soap and give it a gentle scrub with a plastic pot brush. Fabric softener can gum them up and impede the air flow.

Check the hose at the back for lint build up in the hose itself and in the tube at the back of the dryer. Finally check the flaps on the wall vent for smooth operation and they they are opening fully. If you have the old type with a circular flap, you might even find a birds nest in there!

Although the error light is telling you to clean the lint filter, it is actually registering reduced air flow and an overheat situation.

My equator ez3720 cee combo washer dryer doesnt dry well

Unfamiliar with these machines. The dryer portion probably works like any other condenser dryer so that means it has a condenser which is used to remove the water from the warmed air. If the condenser is clogged and in need of cleaning the drying mode will suffer. The lint filter should also be cleaned. Like I said I never even saw one up close.

Amana dryer model YNED7200TW will not start. there is power, but start button does nothing. Resetting breaker did not work. Any ideas?

Thermal Fuse

Item #2986 (OEM Part)
$10.70

Thermal fuse. If the dryer overheats, this device stops the flow of electricity to the heat source and/or the entire dryer. It is located on the blower housing and cannot be reset. The most common cause for overheating is a vent tube clogged with lint, a birds nest or other debris.

We have a combo dryer and washer. Washer is A2444330KH. Leaves lint on cotton shirts, have cleaned the filter no help. Any ideas? David

Dryer lint not only presents a problem by cluttering up your clothes with white specks, but it can also lead to a dryer fire. While it is impossible to completely eliminate dryer lint, you can take action to drastically reduce lint and the potential problems that come along with excess dryer lint. If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, you see no lint on the lint screen, the clothes are very hot after drying or you find excess lint on the clothes after drying, you probably have a problem with accumulation of dryer lint in the dryer vent.
Use a dryer vent cleaning brush and clean the dryer vent, or hire a professional to clean the exhaust vent behind your dryer. If your dryer vent is clogged, it will create excess dust in the dryer and on the clothes. The excess lint can eventually catch on fire given the heat load of the dryer.

Frigidaire combo washer/dryer screws inside come off

The drum shaft came loose from drum. You can YouTube it for procedure of disassembly of dryer. Remount shaft, if screws are bad may need new shaft with screws, make sure it is tight to drum. While you have it apart you can clean out lint.

LG Senseclean washer dryer combo won't dry

The problem is likely due to lint build up in the condensing unit. I found a solution here:
http://www.motusconnect.com/blog/2009/1/5/lg-washer-dryer-drama-%E2%80%93-diy-fix

I also had a softball size ball of wet, packed lint in the condensing unit. I found that the unit can be cleaned without tools or dis-assembly by:
  1. draining the water.
  2. laying the washer on it's back.
  3. removing the hose clamp on the rubber bellows that connects the drum to the condensing unit (right hand side of machine).
  4. digging the lint wads out with your fingers and a small screwdriver.
Happy drying!
