Cleaning dm1000 margarita

There is no kill switch. There is a power on/off switch, which is the far left switch on the front panel.

I was not able to find a parts list or 3rd party supplier for such a part, so I would reccomend contacting Margaritaville directly for the part:

I would reccomend getting one directly from the manufacturer - their number is: 1-877-689-2737

If they don't sell the gasket separately, there are small appliance and hardware stores in some locales that will find the right gasket if you bring the machine in - I would call ahead to make sure.

On my machine (DM1000) there is a kill switch on the top & back of the ice reservoir. If that gets broken/misaligned the shaver will not activate.

You have to hold the button (above the blending jar) down while turning the rotating paddle in the ice hopper. It will eventually catch, then you can unscrew it, take it apart, and clean it. Just be careful not to cut yourself on the shaver blade.
