Hi I have a Miele KFN fridge freezer and the internal light has stopped working. Iv;e checked the bulb and the bulb is ok, however there is only 6 volts at the bulb socked. the fridge works fine apart from the fridge light. the door alarm works ok, so the door sensor is ok, can you advise ? many thanks Andy
Not sure how the light socket only has 6V supply? The bulb for this fridge is a pretty standard 15 Watt/230V SES lamp. If you are sure the current lamp is OK I would suggest the door lamp switch has issues. Try pressing and releasing the door switch manually and check that it functions ok without getting stuck or any sluggish movement. This action in itself may fix the problem.

My miele fridge freezer has just come up with a fault code F4 where the temp is... what does this mean and how can we fix it???
SOURCE: Miele KFN8462S fridge freezer is displaying an F2 fault code.
F2 Is fridge evaporator sensor faulty it will require new sensor part no.7323301

Hi.
F2 indicates that there is a defrost problem. For this reason, if you turn off and defrost the fridge manually, the unit will work for a while after doing defrost.
You said that you replaced temperature sensor. What is called temperature sensor is different from the defrost thermostat, which is one of the parts involved in the fault.
If there is no defrost cycle, or if defrost is insufficient, problem is usually the defrost thermostat. The thermostat is located behind the freezer section rear wall, where the evaporator resides. To access it you need to remove frozen food and undo screws holding the back panel. The thermostat is a metal cylinder shaped object connected to two wires and clipped to the evaporator. The thermostat can be tested using a multimeter set on impedance. If reading impedance at room temp. on the thermostat contacts is infinity (circuit open),then the thermostat must be replaced. In the same way is tested the defrost heater. Check also that evaporator fan is starting.
If parts in the evaporator section are working, then the problem can be the defrost timer, which starts the defrost once every 8 hours.
Here how thermostat looks like. In same page read also the repair instructions from other users.
Regards.
Ginko.
