My laptop- ASUS X5DC series has low storage, I get this message all the time whenever I am on it. It says no storage space on :OS. The only thing on this laptop is my ITUNES, I do not use it for anything else. Please help.
Windows 8.1 is a very good current operating system that manages storage space well. If your computer meets the system requirements I would try that.
Try to delete your music files stored on your laptop. This may free up space on the hard disk drive and get rid of this message.
If the above does not work, then I would consider getting a large hard disk drive, or plugging a usb thumb drive into the usb port for extra storage.

Windows 7 is a very good operating system. But, the laptop may have a slow processor. Try to see if you can upgrade the processor to a core 2 duo or above. Also, try to upgrade or increase the memory to 2 gigabytes or above to 4 gigabytes if possible. The computer is guaranteed to speed up with memory and processor upgrades. Also, try to upgrade the hard disk drive to a SSD or Solid State Drive and you will see awesome speed.

Just go to system properties>advanced>performance>setting>advanced>change>click on no paging file then press set its need restart so just restart u can find much space for your system
