Door locked and no power to washer

did you unplug it,leave it unplugged for 5 minutes and plug it back in,if it's to hard to get to plug flip the breaker and leave the power off for 5 minutes or longer when you power it up again the door should unlock.here's a link to check hope it helps

Maybe the filter is clogged and not draining the water. Have you tried cleaning the filter?


Various control lock features on differing models:

Press the end of cycle signal button for 3 seconds

OR

To reset press the DRAIN/SPIN button and hold it for 15 seconds.

OR

Press and hold the END OF CYCLE button for 15 seconds to reset the control.

OR

Press options and select for 10 secs till LOC is no longer displayed

OR

Unplug washer
Remove lower kick panel
Reach up and locate bottom of door lock switch
Grab the teardrop shaped tab
Pull gently till yall hear a click
The door will be opened

Betty, this is problematic of all front loading washers. I have some helpful suggestions, which have helped us with our own front loading washer.

First, whenever you're done doing a load of laundry, don't close the door all the way shut. Leave it open a couple of inches for a day to let it air dry out, which will prevent the nasty smelling odor you're getting.

I also take a small rag/washcloth to wipe out the door seal/gasket after we're done washing, that way, there's less water to contribute to foul odors, etc.

The other thing we discovered is to make our last load of wash the hot water wash, whenever we're doing whites, or the stain cycle. This helps get rid of any gunk that might hang around between wash days.

Now we don't always have a hot water wash everytime we do laundry, but by just wiping out the gasket and leaving the door open, we eliminated the odor issues completely.

Frankly, the gasket shouldn't have to be wiped out when you're done washing, but that's a design issue that we've overcome with a simple washcloth. So just do these simple steps and you'll save yourself some frustration.

We really like how clean our laundry gets with the front load washer and how little water is needed to do a load, so we've decided it's worth taking the time to wipe the gasket once we're done for the day, and to leave the door open to prevent any nasty odors.

Fdl is a code that indicates a door lock error. The clicking sound that you hear is most likely the door lock. This error occurs because the door cannot be locked. ome washing machines have a cord fixed behind the filter flap door that will open the door if pulled. Is the machine full of water, if so disconect the waste pipe and drain the water into a bucket, this may let the door open if switched back on.

Last resort use a thin flat bladed screwdriver, a blunt ended one of possible to get round the seal by the lock, you may be able to release the door

code f29 in my book is Door Unlock Error Possible causes/procedure are as follows: 1 door lock mechanism is broken 2. door switch/lock unit failure. a. check door switch/lock unit for foreign objects. b. unplug washer or disconnect power. c. check wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and central control unit (ccu) d. check door switch contacts E the resistance of both door coils between pin 1 and 3 should be approx. 320 ohms... the door can be unlocked manually... to do this you 1. unplug washer. 2 remove the lower kick panel (i think 2 screws on bottom hold it on) 3. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit. 4. located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab. 5. Gently pull the tab down about a 1/4 of an inch or until a click is heard. 6 you should now be able to open the door.

unplug the washer and wait 5 minutes before plugging it in again!
this resets the system. If this does not work then you may have a faulty door lock, latch, or switch!

try pressing options and select for ten seconds if that doesnt work you have a promblem with the door lock switch open then shut your door firmly try it again if that doesent do it try unplugging the unit for 5-8 seconds then retry if that doesnt do it then pull the bottom panel and look on the left side of the washer there will be a envelope with a tech sheet there with instructions on testing the door lock itself

On the far right sode of the control panel there is a unlock control reset button. Hold it for 3 seconds and the fault will clear.

Press and hold 'dry' & 'spin', shd unlock OR
Try holding the "end of cycle" button down for 5 or 6 seconds. You must hv done it accidently, it is the child lock device. Pl. rate if helped.
