Water Supply Line for Ice maker and Water dispenser is leaking.

We have a GE PSS26NSTD side by side refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker. The icemaker and water dispenser were working fine until, my wife heard a weird sound like water gushing out. We were about to run out then. When we came back after 6 hrs later, water was leaking out of the water sleeve where the water tube supply line is coming from. So I turned off the the valve for the supply line from the kitchen sink RO. The leaked stopped. 3 days later, I turned on the water supply valve again, the water is coming out of the sleeve. Do we to replace the water supply tube or is the valve in the refrigerator defective? Thank you in advance.

RE; Water supply is carried to the refrigerator by way of an eight inch size tube (plastic or brass), and it will attach at a point on the back of the refrigerator at a valve with a male end and that 1/8 inch tube will fit over it and self lock in that valve hole. ( it may only connect at a hole and the valve is not seen, but the point is it in here or inside.

Okay is the water leak coming from this hose carrying the water from the R\O tank? before it gets to the fridge?

Or is it inside the fridge and leaking either inside the fridge or at the water dispenser on the door?

Go to the hardware store and get a brass tube sleeve coupling; cut off the old tube end, slide the hex cap thread side out onto the tube, then; slide the tube sleeve onto the tube and, seat the tube into the supply valve then tighten the hex nut.
take the old parts to the hardware store to compare; the size is most likely 1/4" the part can be found in the "evaporative cooler parts" section of the hardware store

Hi, The fitting either needs tightened or changed. Is this a brass or plastic fitting?
If the supply line is still ok and not brittle, you can go to your local hardware store and get the new fitting parts. If it is brass, be sure and get the brass insert that goes inside the tubing as well as the compression ring.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Why is my GE (ZFSB23D SS) side by side refrigerator leaking at the back corner, near the rear wheel where the plastic water line goes in?

If the tubing is plastic it could have cracked when you moved the tubing to install the filter. If the tubing is OK then possinly the filter isn't all the way in or is leaking.

Door dispenser not working

Is the ice maker working properly? There is a water filter in the refrigerator through which both the ice maker and water dispenser are supplied and over time it will slow down the flow and eventually block. Have you changed it recently? Often, ice cubes will get smaller as it blocks and the ice maker will also quit.
Also, have you checked the water supply line that goes to the ice maker and water dispenser? It should be a small diameter copper or plastic line that connects to the back of the refrigerator.

GE Side By Side Ice Machine & Water dispenser not getting water

you may have a pin hole in your water line to your dispenser or you could be leaking at the water valve itself on the water dispenser side. you'll have to pull the refrigerator out from the wall and look where the main water line goes into the back of the refrigerator. you will probably have to take the back off to see. be sure you put the back of the refrigerator back when you are through.

The water dispenser in my refrigerator ice maker is leaking

if you have recently changed your filter, had the water turned off, or disconnected from the ref this is a common problem. you have air in your water line. fill 5-6 large cups of water or until it stops spurting and your drip should go away

GE TFX22ZR side by side. ice maker not making ice

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Does not make ice

Is it cold enough to make ice? near 10 degrees. Is there water in the ice mold? Is it frozen? If there is not any pour some in and see if it dumps it when if freezes. If it does, does it refill with water. If not, swap the wires on your dual water inlet valve. It's where the water supply comes into the fridge. Then try the water dispenser. The water should come out in the ice maker letting you know if the valve is working and the water line is clear. The line could be frozen behind the ice maker because of a leak in the inlet valve.

Water leak from ice dispenser line

hi..
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

For the ice maker problem, Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear. If it does, the problem is the ice maker and not the valve and line...

GE side by side; model # TFX25JRYD Serial #

So the dispenser is getting water. Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

If the valves clicks but water doesn't get to ice maker the fill tube can be stopped up with ice.The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.
