SOURCE: LG WFT1081TP Top load washer

The fuse is located in a black cover.  You need to gently pull the front panel out of the way and look to the right of the unit, in the area under where the panel was.  There, you will see a black wire running into a black cylindrical case that has a black wire running out of the other end.  Heed the warning on the label, please, and make sure that the power is unplugged form the wall.  Gently pry open the casing and you will see the fuse within.  The ends of the wires just pull off (gently) and then you have the fuse.
Tomorrow I go on a fuse hunt and try this out.

This sounds like something has shorted causing the breaker to trip. You definitely need a qualified LG repairman to check it out.

SOURCE: power button wont turn on or off not working but

I am having same problem- power button will not operate at all. If I open the door and manually spin the drum with my hand, the machine will power up, just as if I pushed the power button. It will then wash your load without problem, but I really would like to have the power button work. Only had it two years so far!

LG Tromm Washing Machine no power unless I unplug it and reset it.

See if you can lift the top of the washer by unscrewing it from the back and you should find a code and test sheet in there. Very easy to follow and run the test.

My wm2455h turns on by itself and after some time, it turns off. What is causing this>

It seems that the Main Control Board of your washing machine is playing up. The fact that when you unplug the machine from the mains, the main control board resets itself and you are able to start the machine points in this direction.

The row of lights on the far right are blinking and beeping. None of the buttons work to shut them off to turn on my washer I have to unplug it for at least 15 seconds and plug it back in then it is...

Hello Dessely, I am happy to assist you!

Let's try resetting you washer again by unplugging it for approximately ten minutes. Then turn on your washer and select a cycle. If the issue persists, a qualified technician would pinpoint the problem by checking the wiring connection to the main control board. If the wiring isn't the issue, he would need to determine whether the problem rests with the main control board. It really could be a hit or miss calculation in parts unless the precise reason is identify. I do hope this information helps to some degree.

Washer is diplaying Ld and won't restart

Hi,

Ld stands for long drain.

Here is what the manufacture says about that error, my comments will follow.

LONG DRAIN If the drain time exceeds eight minutes, Ld will be displayed, the water valves will turn off, and the pump will stop running.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL to drain the machine. The display will be cleared and the machine will turn off after a maximum of eight minutes. Possible Causes/Procedure
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects, and also make sure the hose from the tub to the pump is not plugged or kinked.
4. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
5. Plug in2_bing.gif washer or reconnect power.
6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
7. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
8. Replace the pump.

Phil's comments -----> This error is usually due to something getting stuck in the drain pump or drain hose, typically after washing a rug with a rubber backing that has come off or small articles like baby socks that were not put into a garment bag prior to washing.

To clean out the pump the machine would need disassembled and is best done by a service professional unless you are up for a good challenge.

Water fills washer even when it is unplugged

Replace fill valve. It is located where the water hooks up to washer. Easy to change. The valve gets plugged with sediment and needs to be replaced.

How to replace lid switch assembly #3949247 for a Whirlpool Washe

we just bypass them, unless your going to stick your hand in there during spin cycle,-unplug washer, remove the 2 head screws 1 on each side of the head, flip the head up,you will see the lid switch jack in the middle of the top of washer, unplug it,cut the 2 outside wires and wire nut them together, plug back in,put the head back, plug in washer and your done, this way it cost you nothing to fix,the other way would be around $40,let me know how you do-mike
