HELP GREASE RUINING CLOTHES IN WASHER

Why will my washer put grease on my clothes?  I have ruined two uniforms now due to grease stains on my uniform pants and now have ruined a shirt of my husbands.  It happens in the washer.  I have done two or three empty wash runs with bleach and soap to see if it needed to be cleaned but is still happening.  Any ideas short of having to get a new washer...
My email is [email protected]
thank you

PS I own a GE Profile Washer and Dryer had them about 4-5 years.

WISH I HAD THE MONEY TO JUST THROW IT AWAY AND GET A WHIRLPOOL.  BUT DON'T SO CAN'T.  BUT I THINK I FOUND THE PROBLEM.  THE FABRIC SOFTENER CUP HAD A THICK LAYER OF BLACK CRUD IN IT SO I CLEANED IT OUT AND WILL WATCH IT TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T DO IT AGAIN.  I NEVER KNEW THAT THE CUP CAME OFF AND IT COULD BE CLEANED.  HOW DUMB CAN ONE PERSON BE?

It sounds as though you have a problem with a transmission seal.  If the unit is within five (5) years old, it is still covered under the maufacturers warranty.  Locate your purchase receipt to see exactly when it was purchased and contact GE.

2nd time I have oil stains on my clothes from Whirlpool LSR9434PQ1 and nothing gets them out. Need to know how to get the stains out and what kind of washing machine is better so that I can replace. Spent...

You can try Lestoil to get the grease out, it has surfactants that will help break up the grease, if they aren't set too deeply. This seems to me to have a leaking transmission if you are constantly getting grease on the clothes. A better machine is anything newer that you can afford, quite honestly, there is only your preference to what you want/need for your usage.
Hope this helps, please rate service and comment, Thank You,

Grease-like stains on clothing

hi. i can help. the grease is coming from one of two places. Either some item with grease on it got placed in the machine and the grease transferred to the tub where it will cause the problem until it is spotted and removed with a degreaser, or wears off.

OR the grease is coming from the washer itself. Perhaps some grease oozed out of the mechanicals related to the aggitator.

Either way I would get a strong flash light or trouble light and look carefully in the tub and around the aggitator for grease. Then remove it with a cloth and some degreaser, available at any auto parts store.

I have been getting brown stains in the shape of a line on items of clothing washed in my Whirlpool duet washer. I can not get these stains out with anything and they are ruining numerous items of clothing. I have no idea what is causing them - I have manually cleaned the inside of the washer. same thing here. I have been having this problem for a few weeks, cant wash anything white without ruining it.

Grease stains from Maytag MAV7200AWW washer

HI! I just posted a question to "justask.com" and am having the exact same problem. I paid $9 for this answer and was happy to pay it because I now know what it is! From what I have been told, it is from the transmission in your washer and will cost at least $400 to fix it (that's just a ballpark figure... I have a Frigidaire and that was the figure I was given). So, basically, it would be more cost effective for you to purchase a new washer.

Clear greasy stains appearing on clothes from brand new LG front loading washer

the grease i'm sure would be coming from the machine. look at the water solenoids, detergent dispenser, dispenser solenoids, everything with rubber hoses.

they do put a clear grease just to insert the hose easier in the plant. and if it was not removed during QC, then it would come out now as you uses it.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Clothes coming out with stains they didn't have - looks like oil/grease

Front load greasy residue ,

Due usually to much detergent in each load, use smaller amounts.
To much detergent degrades the rubber seals and gaskets and rubber seal also in some front loaders around the door too!

Over the life of a front loading washer the seal/gasket degrades
largely due to the chemicals in the detergent as well as bleach.

Most gaskets/seals get hard and brittle therefore the over the life of a front loading washer
the seal/gasket degrades largely due to the chemicals in the detergent as well as bleach.

....please rate this ....thanks
