My Bosch washing machine won't turn the bowl

My Bosch washing machine will start filling but stops filling when the machine should turn the drum as it doesnt turn it. It doesnt do anything past this point. The drum turns freely when we spin it manually and the belt is not broken. The machine will drain on the drain cycle but it wont spin on the spin cycle. Before this problem developed I had a single item, a childs dressing gown, in the machine and it displayed the E2 error which I reset. The machine is a WAE20260AU.

SOURCE: Bosch Washer

Yes, check the brushes. Our 7-yr. old WFK-2401 just stopped spinning and a brush change did the trick. Repair people wanted $350 for a whole new motor, but it was only the brushes. Replacing them is not very difficult if you are somewhat handy with a 1/2in. wrench and have some common sense about mechanics and electrics. Just look carefully as you loosen motor - disconnect its wires first, and think, and study, and try to understand what you're doing. I took lots of photos just in case. In the end it was easy; make sure to get belt off motor and motor will be out in no time; just two bolts to undo. Also, make sure you put brushes in properly - their tips are slanted and need to go in the right way and make full contact with commutator inside. Again, common sense. Bosch sells brushes, also RepairClinic.com, for slightly more but real Bosch parts. I paid the latter $45 with shipping - Bosch part No. 154740. Another option is to take motor out and find local motor repair shop and have them do it. Bosch won't help you. Power to the people - and the motor!

SOURCE: zanussi washing machine wont spin

check the drain hole when you start the machine if the water is coming back out , if yes that means your dump valve is bad.

SOURCE: E2 error on homemaker washing machine.

I have an E2 error on the display of a homemaker washing machine model no HMWM8000. It will not pump out. The PCB does not have any visibly damaged components, which part is faulty, and how do i test a water level sensor.

Bosch error E24 after 2 minutes into cycle, along with grinding noise.

Bearings or a belt have gone bad on the drum. After water fills and the agitator starts the drum begins to move and that's when you hear the grinding. error code stops the machine from further damage.

I have a bosch washing machine Maxx WF1200.The machines fills with water than stops. Nothing happens. Also does not spin to release the water. What is the problem?

If the machine heats the water and finishes the cycle without the drum turning it is most likely your motor or what controls it.

Miele w1113. Washer drum won't spin during wash cycle

I assume you are saying the machine is working except the drums not turning? - you need to see if the belt has come off because thats what i would check first if you hear the motor start/stop after it fills up with water.

You have to replace the water inlet valve, the valve where water enters your machine.

Front load washing machine would not spin now won't wash either.

Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!
