My Vizio VO42LF 42" tv has a cracked screen(don't ask how). It looks like a bulls eye with four lines up,down, left and right coming from it. I can still watch it and the screen doesn't "feel" cracked but I guess it is on the inside. Where can I buy the parts to fix it? Any "help" would be greatly appreciated.
Check ebay online for parts. the problem with a cracked screen is that to get it new, it cost too much. sometimes i find tv's that don't work but have good screens on ebay and you can pick them up cheap. good luck. david

Find out how to repair this? I have the ... Cracked TV Screen - LCD & LED TV Panel Repair Options & Replacement ... VizioFlat Screen Repair.
You no longer have a TV but a parts unit. In most cases, It will cost more to replace the screen than buying a new TV set. Although it is cracked, it still has some value, don't toss it in the dump. Throw that puppy on Craigslist or Ebay(if you have the shipping box) someone will be interested and buy it. Just be realistic with your asking price. Don't be like some lady I encountered who wanted $350 for her Dynex 42" LCD with a cracked screen !!!
We used to say have a short service on the patio and buy a new set---damaged panel display unit is more than set cost (if it is even available) Let it go---when damaged it can instantly damage other boards/parts in the set.
Run a car with no oil and see what happens........
unless you have experiance in ekectronics i would not attempt this fix myself! and with the parts and labor added up it very well be cheaper to replace it! hdts are at an all time low right now!
I agree your screen is cracked. It's smooth to the touch because you're not actually touching the LCD section of the screen, just the protective coating. The advantage of owning an LCD TV over plasma... you can replace the screen either by going to the manufacturer or some place like e-bay. It's not a difficult thing to do if you take your time and pay attention to the details.
