SOURCE: Panasonic PT-50DL54J DLP TV Flashing Light

I had the same problems that most of you have been having, tv turning on and off, lights flashing in all different colors, having to unplug tv to reset and all of that good stuff. I noticed that most of the time this would happen once the tv would start to heat up, and I could hear the fan working a little harder. Well I am not an electrician but It was very simple to unscrew the lower bottom park of the tv, where the fan and most of the electronics sit, then I used an oxygen tank ( I work for a medical company ) to blow out all the dust in the tv, ( you can olso use the compressed air use for computer, but if grandma or grampa have some O2 laying around, it works really good, LOL. )and was very surpriced to see how dusty it was, then I removed the MAIN FAN ( you only need to remove three screws, however there's a box in fron of it, which you'll have to remove first in order to get to the fan ). this may sound a little complicated, but trust me it is not, once you have taken the fan off, clean it all the way around ( best to use a clean rag, the compressed air was not doing the job.
long story short, once I cleaned the fan and put it all back together. The TV still didn't work LOL, Just kidding, It has been working perfect for a little over a week.
If I can help in any other way, please e-mail me @ [email protected]

hope this helps.

Panasonic pt43lc14 no red color. picture is good. cannot get anything to look normal color after trying to adjust color/tint/picture etc. Have alot of blues and yellow, and brown. seems like no red.

It appears that your light engine is broken, I have the same problem. Have you recently changed the bulb with a non-panasonic part bought on the internet. I did this and think thats what caused the problem. I believe the new bulb burn at a higher temp thus causing damage to the Light engine filters

Installing a Panasonic lamp for model number PT43LC14

You have two ways, you can call Technical Support, 1-800-211-7262, they should still be assisting with this, or the process is listed on pages 80-82 in the Operating Instructions, if you do not have the OI, here is a link to the PDF.
