RCA 36" TV - High Pitch Sound - No Picture or Sound

That's hi voltage arcing. Dangerous condition were a component has broken down and is arcing causing the power supply to 'crowbar' or go into over current protection mode. Call a TV repair pro for an estimate to see if you want to keep the set.

replace the color wheel

A shorted horizontal output transistor or shorted flyback. If the flyback is shorted replace also its HOT.

May need a horizontal driver transformer. Rca can not provide a part number. In the future don't buy this junk from China.

The beeping sound is most likely the high voltage generator needing replacement. This is a fairly easy job if you have some tech support to discharge the picture tube. You can go to the following link and leave them an email with your model number and your symptom and they will email you back with the part you need and they provide free tech support with instant messageing so you can do the repair yourself. the HV generator takes about a half hr to replace and takes only the basic soldering ability. heres the link.

It can be repaired. It sounds like a bad high voltage transformer or something in that circuit. I would take it to a TV shop and ask for an estimate. It might be costly to repair.

Hmm, sounds like a fuse has blown, and this is a problem that I recommend only those comfortable around high voltages try to fix......

that high pitch is comming from the flyback replace the flyback and the HOT.and you will restore back the life of your tv.good luck.

Sounds like the flyback and horz output is shorted.
