Ninja Blender 1100 starts then stops almost immediately, is there a way to fix this?

Have used this blender before with no problems. This time I turned the power button on then hit the pulse button it did a single spin and the power shut off. Turned the power back on hit one of the other buttons and the same thing happened. Was finally able to process my ingredients by hitting the power and pulse buttons repeatedly. Does anyone know why this is occurring and is it fixable?

I had the exact same problem with my Ninja. I lined up and locked up everything as I always do and pushed the power button and it lit up with solid red light but when I pushed blend button it blended for one brief moment then shut off.

I figured out the solution for mine is to, instead of pushing blend, just push down and hold the pulse button. It kept the motor going as long as I held it down!!

It Could Be a Number of Things..
It's most likely that the electrical Wire Could Have a Shortage, If it cuts off again Try gently Wiggling the Electrical Wire in a Number of Directions If it cuts on and off while your fidgeting with it, you've found your Problem! A quick fix would be to Adjust the wire In the position it would cut on the strongest, wrap the cord with Tape to Keep the wire in that Position, this will Prevent it from shorting again.
Either that or you simply put too much product in the Blender with an inadequate amount of liquid.

SOURCE: The pulse light is blinking, but the blender will not work

This worked for me - only took about 5 minutes (the amount of time it took for me to google Black & Decker and search through their FAQ)

Q. My blender stopped in the middle of blending. What happened?
A. Your blender has a motor overheat protection system that will automatically shut off the blender when it has been running too long with a heavy load. If this happens, unplug the blender and wait 10-15 minutes to allow the motor to cool down. Plug in the blender and resume blending.

SOURCE: Power flashes but doesnt start

A more in-depth but permanent solution to this problem is to hard-wire the circuit control this 'safety' switch. It is only there to make sure that the carafe is mounted completely on the blender base. If you can't master that idea without the aid of a safety switch, you probably shouldn't be trusted around blenders anyway. ;)

If you are interested in fixing this problem for good and don't mind a little dis assembly, then it isn't hard to move ahead. You'll need a Philips and flat-head screwdriver, a pair of wire cutters/strippers (scissors could do in a pinch since the wires are quite small).

Unplug the base unit and flip it over. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to click the tabs holding on the grey sub-base onto the white base. Then several philips screws will be exposed, undo those and loosen the base from the motor and control boards.

There will be three wires running to the safety switch at the back of the blender. In my blender, the wires were red, white and black. The red wire was for the switch on the left, the one that usually gets depressed when the little white 'foot' on the carafe is mounted correctly. The white is common or power. I haven't figured out the black switch. After some experimentation, I found that cutting the red and white wires, stripping them back, and twisting them together with a wire nut solved the problem completely for me. I would recommend leaving the black wire untouched.

Once you have done your minor wiring work, you can use a piece of electrical tape to hold the bundle of wires up to the side, or just tuck the wires around other wires, or plastic mounts, just to keep them away from the motor housing. Then you can reassemble the blender base, and it should work flawlessly... even if all of the ridiculously flimsy little white feet have broken off your carafe.
SOURCE: Vita-Mix 5000 blender shuts off under heavy blending loads.

I will also check the blade bearings,if the blades does not turn easily and the motor brushes, they get worn with time and theybare esay to check and replace.
I wish you good luck and hope you saty away from buying the motor, thats a
very expensive ordeal.

Ninja Blender starts at low power and then stops when increasing the power?

That sounds like it is overheating. Does the red power light flash before it powers itself off? Units like this with an enclosed motor often have an internal fan as part of the motor and vents on the base to drive out the heat.

Ninja blender 1100single server sticks after using hard to loosen

I experienced the blades freezing on a different blender after making smoothies and letting the unit sit for some time. The problem was sugar seeping into bearing interface and solidifying. I soaked the blade assembly in water and they freed up.

I now add water to blender container after each use and operate it until clear water seeps out the bottom of the bearing.
