Check the specs and make sure the paper is the appropriate weight (I have found 70 gsm doesn't work in mine as too light). Fan the sheets before inserting them in the cassette or paper tray. Clean the paper path by vacuuming the inside, maybe holding the printer and shaking it so any paper dust falls out. Good luck.

I keep getting a printer jam when trying to print, I clear the jam and then it sticks again, wither in the tray, the inner door or the fuser, any ideas appreciated..

Please check the error code when paper jams. The code will indicate where the jam is. Also let me provide some tips to prevent paper jam.

Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading it. Make sure the paper lies flat in the paper tray. Do not load too much paper. Make sure the stack height does not exceed the indicated maximum height. Make sure the guides in the paper tray or the manual feeder are properly positioned and are not pressing too tightly against the paper or envelopes and push the paper tray in firmly after loading paper. Use only recommended paper or specialty media.
Do not load wrinkled, creased, damp, bent, or curled paper. Do not mix paper sizes, weights, or types in the same stack and make sure all sizes and types are set correctly in the printer control panel menus.

I'm getting ghost images on multi prints to the point it is unreadable, is this the drum or fuser?

The only way to tell is to start a print and power off when print is still inside. If you see the ghost before the fuser it's the drum, if clean before the fuser, it's the fuser. You can also open the back door and look at the fuser roller with a light, the fuser roller should be clean but if the roller has images it's time for a fuser.

My printer stoped in the midle of print

The 2280+ is indicating a defect with the paper width sensor, the paper width sensor on the 2280+ is locate on the carriage and detects when you try to print off the paper.

You may wish to disable the paper width sensor. To continue printing, this can be done in the following way.

Power the printer on holding down ONLINE
When the printer displays ASCII80 ASCII136 along the top line of the display release the ONLINE button.
Press the Button under NEXT (button 4) repeatedly until you see APW
Press the button under APW
Press button 3 to change this to OFF
Press SET
Place the printer ONLINE to exit the menu.

This will disable the Paper Width sensor which should resolve the issue with the message being seen. You can then get an engineer to look at the paper width sensor to see why this is not working.

Toner overflow

Could be the cleaning blade isn't working on the drum.  Is the paper getting stuck on the fuser unit?

Constant Paper Jam1

It sounds as though you need a new fuser assembly. Not too expensive and worth having repaired. You should contact a technician in your area.

Paper stack

If paper stops just before entering the fuser (heat rollers), chances are they are not turning. You may have a broken gear or a drive clutch that is slipping badly. Usually those clutches need to be replaced by a technician.
