I just acquired smores second hand, head detached for shipping. Once attached the left ear and left eye did not work. When I detached the head again, hoping to find something loose or disconnected, I noticed thus small gray and blue wire with a fitting on the eND but nothing to plug it into. While searching the net for a wiring guide, I noticed this post, so I attached a picture.

Hey, the blue and grey wire under the neck fur does not connect to anywhere. It was likely a debug port while Hasbro was testing the ponies.

I need a picture, Mam. But I assume it needs to be connected to another wire, and I am so very sorry if I did not help at all.

SOURCE: I need a battery compartment for butterscotch fur

I found one of this on a garbage deposit. I opened the battery box and it was completly destroyed. A good technician could restore all the conections on this...not a big deal, but I'm not LOL, so I took out th two main cables (red and black) by take out the three screw placed where the battery box snaps in. The I conected a 9v battery directly on this two wires and voila! the pony is alive again

How to fix a Hasbro Fur Real Butterscotch Pony.

Darlene. Cover it with fake fur. Either take it to a model shop or take it to a upholsterer or even a seamstress. They will remove the old, make a pattern and sew a new one.

Butterscotch pony

Hey, the blue and grey wire under the neck fur does not connect to anywhere. It was likely a debug port while Hasbro was testing the ponies. You can try moving the ear by hand when it's supposed to move but it is likely broken inside the head and would need a lot of work to repair.

Replacement parts

Not sure about the ear but here is how to repair the tail. Had the same problem and the fix is easy. Hopefully, the tail snapped off at the base of the plastic plate on the tail. If so, go to a hardware store and buy 1 ft. of CLEAR plastic tubing with 3/16" inner diameter and 5/16" outer. Cut off a piece about 1 1/2". Now, look at the base of the tail and you should see a small screw that holds in what remains of the stub that broke. Unscrew the screw and remove what is left of the stub. KEEP THE SCREW. Now drill a small hole thru the plastic tube about 1/8" from the end. This will later be inserted into the tail and the screw will go through the holes. Next, take a hair dryer and heat the undrilled end of the tube to soften it and push it on to what is left of the broken stub inside the pony. It will be a tight fit which is what you want. You will probably need to twist the tube gently while applying firm pressure on it to make it slide over the stub. The end of the tube with the holes should be about even with the outside top of the white plastic hole and the tube holes should be level, looking at it from side to side. This makes the alignment of the screw hole to the tail correct. Now slide the tail over the end of the tube and insert the screw. I just did it today and it works good as new! If the tail is too far away from the body of the pony, carefully twist and remove the tube and shorten it. Since you bought a 1 ft. tube, you can have several trys to get it right if you cut it too short! Total cost for the tube was 21 cents. Good luck! Kip V. Tryon, NC

Furreal pony, Butterscotch, Head floppy/leans left

There is a smaller "u" shaped spring in the middle of the neck mechanism that I found one side was snapped off. Looks normal, but it's broken. I made one out of a coat hanger for temporary purposes and it works like new! I will order one from Hasbro. Hope this helps!
