TRY REMOVING FRONT OF WASHER YOU WILL SEE 4 SHOCK LIKE PISTONS TAY GET DRY AND MAKE GRINDING NOISE OR SQUEEKS LUBERCATE ALL REAR HARD TO GET AT MAKE SURE YOU GET TOP AND BOTTOM (RAY)
SOURCE: GE frontload washer will not wash cycle or spin out
Thanks to Guest #2 our laundry is back in action and we're not waiting for a serviceperson. We took the front panel off, unscrewed the white plug and was sure our plastic drawer was open to catch the water, a load's worth. We found a small screw driver, 8 or so pony holders, some change, drill bits, bark, games pieces, can tops, etc... unbelievable. Thanks SO MUCH for the hint!
SOURCE: loud cliunking noise in beginning of spin then won't spin
get a flashlight and see if a foreign object has fallen down through one of the tub holes and is jamming the tub you have to look real close
SOURCE: make noise during wash cycle, has no agitator action and no spin during spin cycle/drain cycle
Looks like the bearings may have failed. TURN OFF the POWER and try and rotate the agitator/tub by hand. If it is jammed you should investigate why. Possibly caused by bearing failure or something wound around spindle.
Take care and do not attempt to investigate the problem without first disconnecting from the mains!
SOURCE: I have a GE top load washing machine. During the
there are springs under the machine that attatch to the tub in 3 to 4 places if one of these springs break it will cause the tub to bang.
