Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

It is a side by side built in model with the condenser on top in a fold up door.

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Monogram water flow problem

common low flow is a kinked line or a bad water valve, the solioid valve has a filter that may be dirty. then go from there

SOURCE: 42'' monogram getting very hot between doors and in unit above

This is typical for frost-free refridgerators/freezers. In order to keep ice from buiding up on the interior walls of the freezer section, the manufacturer installs electric defrosting elements and extra "warming" elements in the outer edges of the cabinet, normally around the door openings to help mitigate any frost/ice build up and surface condensation that typically occurs on the exterior surfaces as the doors are opened and closed frequently.

These edge warmers stay very warm to keep ice and condensation from accumulating and will become VERY very warm (hot) when the fridge/freezer is in the once a day defrost cycle.

Unless you have an energy saver switch (GE trademark) inside the fridge section, which you can turn off, there is no way to disable these added elements. If you find that you're getting ice building up in the freezer, you'll need to turn off the energy saver switch to resolve that issue.

Energy Saver switch "ON" means these elements are off, while having the ES switch "OFF" means those heaters are running all the time and costing you more in energy consumption

GE Monogram fridge is not dispensing water. Ice maker is working fine. Not a water filter issue. thanks -

Water and ice solenoid valve is one valve with two coils and exits.
The most posible case is the water side is coggled or coil broken and need to bee clean or a new valve

Water dispenser not working. The ice dispenser will work but the water will not. I held it down for 2 minutes to be sure there was no water in the line but its still not working. We also changed the filter...

Check in the back wall of the refrigerator section and confirm the water dispenser reservoir is not frozen.

Listen for the solenoid valve to click when actuating the water dispenser. If no click check the solenoid valve.

The wires for the switch are in the door hinge of the freezer. Confirm that they have not failed.

Hope this is a helps?

Water keeps dripping after it dispenses water thru the door

When you push the button, the CLICK you hear when the water flows is the Water delivery solenoid opening to let water thru, then snapping shut when U R done. The Spring is weak (prob wrong type, size, strength at factory) or the valve seal is cracked, torn, hardened or crushed.

Since all this is inside the door, you will either have to take it apart to see/fix/replace.

Quick fix: turn down the water pressure coming in(?)

Call Mr. Handyman to fix.

If under warranty - they might fix this for you for free
If this is a factory defect, there might be a recall in place for repair/replacement parts

Googlee both - Make/Model + Dripping Valve + Recall
Good Luck!

One dispense spigot barely trickles

You need to take a paper clip and clean the little holes where the water comes out on the left side (It's like a screen). Also you should pull the silver thing that adjusts to allow taller cups underneath up and down several times. You should do the latter every week. It helps get rid of some of the coffee grounds that block the aforementioned little holes.

Leaks at the hot water spout during coffee brew

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the coffee machine apart and found that the reason coffee trickles out around the hot water spout is that the two coffee nozzles were partially plugged. Since I Had parts of the coffee machine apart I was able to clean it easily. It may also be possible to clean the assembly using a pick of some sort and clean out the holes of the two normal coffee spouts. Inside it is just a open cavity so gentle poking around and using some steaming hot water may do the trick.
If you want to take the machine apart you need to do the following: 1) take of the warmer plate on the top - 2 storz screws but an allen key works as well 2) take off the top plate of the machine - another 4 or 5 screws - make sure you empty the beans first otherwise you will have a mess 3) remove one screw from the right hand side of the removable coffee ground tray. Once this screw is removed the front panel is free to swing open except for the pipes connecting the front 4) unclip the steam assembly - there are a couple of plastic catches on the top. this will free the steam assembly from the front panel and also free a pipe connections. The steam dispenser pipe will also come free from the steam assembly. 5) remove the coffee pipes from the up and down sliding coffee dispenser. This is a small whitish color clip with 2 pipes connecting into it. The white clip has a little plastic catch on the top that frees it. The front panel should now swing open freely. 6) remove the sliding coffee dispenser from the front door. There are 4 plastic catches, 2 on either side. the whole front sliding coffee displenser now comes free 7) Take the sliding dispenser apart by release the 4 plastic catches on the front curved planel. 8) Inside the sliding dispenser is a white plastic piece that connected to the piping released in step 5. There is a small plastic catch that needs to be pressed while pulling fairly hard on the plastic piece and bending the whole piece. 9) You will now see the plugged spouts. It goes back together really easily.
