Where can i get a replacement reset button - Vitamix 5000 Work Top Blender

The manual says that adding a new Profile reset. For other errors it says to contact a local service agent. There are 6 mentions of 'Reset' in the manual.

There is no such button, most likely the motor has failed.

No reset button, unplug it, remove the base and check the motor for continuity. If motor is open circuit check the individual field windings, there is a fuse on one if them under the insulation under the one with the metal clip around it. You can replace the fuse or bypass it. It is tricky and not for someone with no electrical clues.

If they do have a reset button it is normally underneath.

The problem is not an easy one to fix, the red you can see is the motor windings betting hot due to an increase in internal resistance, There are only 2 solutions.
1. Get a local motor rewinder to strip the motor down and re-wire the motor.
2. Buy a new one.

the GFI is the receptacle in your kitchen, not on the unit itself,, the reset is the small red button in the middle of the receptacle ( sometimes gray) you just push that in to reset it,, newer homes have these in restrooms and kitchens for safety issues , however, back to your problem, try plugging the unit in to a receptacle without a GFI ,, if it works, its due to the high amps needed to start your blender and it trips the circuit. if it doesn't work,, Just take it back where you bought it , so you don't void any warranty on the unit and just get another one

Well it might just be over heated, let it cool for approx 20 minutes then restart if it doesn't then u may try switching electrical outlets, if that doesn't work then it needs to be replaced. I hope that this helps, if not please let me know and i will try and help you out as much as i can.

Bridge the reset button with a jumper and see if that fixes the problem. All it is after all, is a breaker.
If that works, just install a line fuse of about 10 amps.

If so, it's underneath the unit. If so, unplug it before resetting.

Same thing happened to me. Opened it up and along the red wire to the motor is a bass fuse. Went to the hardware store and then I replaced it. Works fine.
