Ok...so my dryer stopped working and I went to Sears as this is where I
buy most of my appliances from. I purchased my Kenmore 417 44042400
Front Load machine there about 3-4years ago and wanted to get a dryer
that would match and now be able to stack.
So I bring in my dimensions, the manual for the washer and this model
number and they tell me they cannot find it and after about 45min say
that they called Kenmore and they say it is not in their system and
does not exist.
I now feel that they are incompetent and have no idea what is going on.
Does anyone know which dryer would be compatible to be stacked and also with load capacity size.
They had one and told me to go ahead and order it and "tryit" and when they delivered it if it didn't work then to refuse it.
That seems like a whole lot of trouble when they sold the original washer and should know this.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. THE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS. HERE IS MY SOLUTION: GO TO LOWE'S HARDWARE AND BUY A WASHER AND DRYER THERE. BUY THE GE BRAND. 3 YEARS AGO, WHEN OUR MAYTAG WASHER DIED, WE BOUGHT A NEW GE WASHER BEFORE MY FATHER DIED IN 2006. BUT CHECK INTO THAT.
