Frig stopped cooling. Bad condensor Fan Motor. Changed condensor fan motor. Restarted frig. Works great but has not stopped running for 8 hours. Condensor cool, Compressor hot, but not hot enough to shut down for overheating. How long will it have to run to cycle out? This is a Maytag side-by-side Refrigerator Model No. MSD2748DRW
This problem could be caused by the
motherboard having defective relays, bad fan motor=> DA31-00103A Fan Motor Sounds like
someone will need to examine the fan motor and test the voltage to the fans
inside and outside the refrigerator. You will need to have this done to eliminate
what the cause is. Both condensor and evaporator fan motors are the same part=> DA31-00103A Fan Motor Let me know and I will explain how to remove, test or replace the
freezer/evaporator fan motor, wiring or motherboart. Thanks Sea Breeze

No, I have not ruled out a bad thermostat. What are the chances of two unrelated parts failing at the same time. I told my wife it has to be the thermostat but did not test for it. Hopfully that is the solution,
One failure would have caused the other. If it's a bad thermostat making the pump run non-stop, that could cause things to break. That said, unless your refrigerated compartment is always freezing things, you may be low on coolant. You could also have a bad compressor.
You may want to call the maytag man to get your unit serviced. If it's older, it may be most cost-effective in the long run to just replace the unit.
Have you verified that the external radiator is clean? Does it have enough "breathing room"?
