SOURCE: Indesit 1600 WE165 washing machine - filling with water after wash

Doesn't sound like a filter problem to be honest. If the water that's coming in is clean, you're probably looking at a leaky inlet valve. With the machine unplugged from the mains, remove the top, then look for the valves (which are the items that the inlet hoses screw into). One at a time, remove the rubber hoses that connect them to the various bits of the insides of the machine to identify which valve is leaking. New valves are available quite cheaply on the net, and are easy to install. If the machine is filling up with dirty water, it's probably being siphoned back in from the drain. The drain hose mustn't be a tight fit in the standpipe it hooks into and mustn't poke in too far. Also, the standpipe needs to be reasonably tall. Have a look at page 7 of http://imagebank.indesitcompany.co.uk/pdf/service/HBWM81.pdf - it's a manual for a different model, but the drainage requirements will be the same. A.

SOURCE: Indesit Washing Machine not proceedding with the cycle programme after filling with water.

Cant understand how the machine will revolve on the 'spin cycle' & yet you can hear the motor on the 'wash cycle' but yet it doesnt revolve!!
Nomally if the water fills, & the tub revolves without the programmer advancing, its because the heater is not working. ie faulty thermostat, heat element, or maybe a wire burned off in the 'heater circuit'. Check if you have 240 volts at both ends of the heat element, with a meter or 240 volt bulb
                         !! BE CAREFUL OF 240VOLTS!!

SOURCE: indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

SOURCE: indesit W123 washing machine

it maybe your brushes are worn out, on alot of machines these days if the brushes wear the machine wont fill , or your motor itself could be faulty or your board. Unplug the machine , take the back off , get yourself a test meter disconnect the motor and put the probes from the meter and put it across the tags, if the motor is wrong you wont get continuity between 2 tags normally 1 and 5 looking from the top of the block going down

Indesit IWC6105 Keeps filling with water and lights flashing

Almost certain to be a power pcb failure due to the fact it fills and drains at the same time this is a regular fault symptom on indesit laundry appliances. Word of caution tho inde pcb's are generic to a range and the software must be programmed via a lap top to your specific appliance so you can't just order a pcb and pop it in sorry

DOES MY WIXL143S INDESIT USE HOT OR COLD MAINS

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

That's easy to tell- if it has 2 inlet pipe/hose connections at the back (as opposed to the outlet pipe which is permanently connected to the washer and hooks over the outlet drain) then it is a hot and cold fill. If there is only one inlet pipe it is cold fill only. Either type HAS to have a cold fill supply- to lower the temperature of the hot water for cool washes AND for rinsing which is normally cold water only.

If you have only a cold water tap/fawcet available for the washer and it is a hot and cold fill you will need to purchase, from a hardware (?) store, a 'Y' adapter. Upside down the single end (internal thread) screws into the cold water supply and the hot and cold washer pipes screw into the double end (external threads). The washer is fooled into thinking it has hot and cold! When it expects hot, it opens its hot valve but instead gets the cold water and has to heat it up. It will therefore take longer for the machine to do the washing. When it wants cold for rinses, it opens its cold valve and gets the same water! Simple ;-0)

Hope this has clarified!

Indesit WIXL85 water level

On a normal wash cycle, you will see very little if any water sloshing around, this is quite normal on todays washers.
You shuold see a lot more on the rinse cycle, as it is a higher fill.
It is usual to more less fill the compartment with powder, unless you are only washing a few items, then half fill it.
Hope this helps.

My kemore 80 series washer will not fill up

Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.
------------------------
The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.

No rinsing water coming in

There are 2 versions of this washer dryer, a cold fill only one and a hot and cold fill version.
If it is the cold fill version, it could be the water level switch that is malfunctioning, cutting off before the correct level is reached, or a sticking water inlet valve.
If it is the other version, then the same thing applys, plus the coil on the valve that controls the rinse cycle could be open circuit.
You need a meter to test the valve coils for continuity..
Make sure that there is actually cold water to the valve, if it is a hot and cold fill model.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

A couple of tips from readers (Thankx!! ):
~ If you have a loose hose on the water level control or tank end, use a plastic wire tie to help hold the hose tighter and make a tight fit.
~ The water level tube (tube that runs from the square box), access panel on the outer drum where the bleach tube also ends) from the pressure sensor switch (front panel) can become clogged.  Or the two holes from the outer tub into this square box panel on the outside of the outer tub can become clogged. Either clog, I am told by my help repair guy can cause the sensor to think that there is still too much water in the tub and so will not allow motor to activate spin.
~ If the water level control contact is bad, it may also stop the filling ok, but not tell the washer to start agitating.
