Hi dombarca...
Go to the website below and you can see the Specs for your laptop.
Yes you can use a larger HD to 120gb...
Just be sure the Storage controller type (HD) is IDE not SATA.

Can I upgrade my 80 gb intel core 2 dual hdd to 120 on flybook V5

Hi there, yes you can upgrade your 80GB to 120GB hard drive on your Flybook V5. Toshiba makes a great drive for this. If you need instructions or help however, I was able to get all my questions answered by emailing [email protected] . I could not get through to anyone at Flybook directly however. :o(

Set hard drive password toshiba techra 9100

hi
1) it is very risky to unlock it on your own .it involves shorting of pins on the motherboard (remove the Cmos battery and put it after 1min)
clear the password
OR
2) using software www.hddunlock.com to to unlock the harddisk
OR
3) just got to a Toshiba authorized service center and get it Fixed
my friend was charged Rs.1000

No hard disk found

From what you describe, your 40GB should be compatible with Tecra 9100.
I'd suggest you reset the BIOS settings to the factory defaults, just to ensure there are no wierd settings. Have you managed to use any other HDD with your Tecra 9100 previously?

Have You checked for a BIOS update for this model / vintage ?

Computer not booting os

Hi,

There must be problem with your bios, try upgrading the bios firmware with the new version...You can get the latest update for your bios through the manufacturers website and update it..Once dome , your new harddisk or the old one should be ready....

And try to s\check that the installation of your OS is done through reliable CD, beacuse there is sa chance of virus, which may affect the boot sector leading to no loading from HDD...

To temperorily upgrade your bios, boot from LINUX AUTORUN BOOTABLE cd, which is available free for download and you upgrade your BIOS
