I own a Marvin model 1220 box fan since 10 years ago. The stand broke on the hooks part. I need the buy the same, please help me on this. It is out of stock in the Internet. This fan is fantastic, but need to keep it clean so the blades don't slow down do to dust
mcdevito75 here, hello ken, I did a fast search and I think www. shop.com can help you out with Marvin air fans, I didn"t find anything on Marvin Air Fans itself. Now about the nose cone covering the nut holding the blade to the fan shaft, most of these nose covers are press fit, see if you can gently pry that nose cover off with a small screwdriver.

There are links to the instruction manuals there as well. They include information of how to replace the elements.
its extremely simple... when it does that put your hand on the oscollator cover and hold it with light pressure for a couple seconds then let go. it should work
Very simple to install the replacement element. Insert one end of the element into the bottom receptacle on either side, press the element down (it's spring-loaded), then slide the top of the element into the center opening of the top receptacle, push to appropriate side (the side of receptacle, same as the bottom), then release. Then do the same with the other element (if both are out).
On Monday, 1/21/08, I returned the Marvin 2060 heater to the store I purchased in 02/07 since the freeze guard stop working. The owner left me a voice message at home and said he after doing some research, he discovered Marvin went out of business in 12/07. And the heater is no longer covered under the warranty. The owner gave me a telephone number, 800.326.3690 which carry the parts for Marvin Heater. I have not called the number since I am looking for another heater with the freeze guard feature since it something I need quickly.
the buzzing is normal. there is an element inside the quartz tube much like a filament in a light bulb. as this heats up it starts to move. where you have electrical energy you also have magnetism produced. metal objects vibrate when they are in or within a magnetic field. the element is tungsten wire and vibrates off this magnetic field.
