Iphone will not restore

I have aa iphone 3g and it was jailbrokern. one day it didnt turn on so i decided to restore it. when i tried to restore it in dfu mode it geve me an error. Iphone could not be restored. an unknown error occured

    windows and my iphone can only go into dfu mode, it cant turn on. my computer will only recognize it with dfu mode

    i created a jailbroken ipsw file and resored it on itunes and now it gave me a 1600 error

Try respring it (central + power buttons together and then connect to iTunes in safe mode,choose full restore (it will erase everything but if you have back up can be restored).

    How did you enter dfu? do you have Leopard 10.5.6 or Windows?
    Try this :
    1. Turn the iPhone OFF.

    2. Plug in the USB cable into the computer, but not into the phone.

    3. Hold HOME and POWER buttons

    4. As soon as you are holding the HOME and POWER buttons, plug in the USB connector.

Hi see if you can restore with 4.1 with itunes then when you get the error 1015 kick it out of restore with a program called tiny umbrella i have used this several times and it works for me.

Iphone wont turn on
hey mate.. what you need is,
Turn on your itunes, and when the iphone is off, press the round button (home button) for 15seconds and without releasing the button, plug it in your computer with itunes running.
Once you see the startup of the iphone, release the home button.
Then after that click shift on the computer to restore to the previous version.

Iphone is dead
Did you try plugging into iTunes and trying to turn on? iTunes may need to do a restore of the device.
If it still will not turn on, you may have to take it in for service, maybe an AT&T store can check it out for you.
